For a future experiment the goal should be to do it with a infrared camera lens so that you can cut through the atmosphere like this author does here in the Wiki, and on his YouTube channel. In his YouTube channel he takes an infrared camera onto an airplane and other high locations and claims to see objects that are further than a Round Earth should allow.
