Is anyone going to play it? What platform?
-
Maybe. PC.
-
No.
-
Fuck Bethesda and their stupid run on this franchise. Besides, this is going to be another dumb survival game in the vein of Metal Gear Survive.
-
Yeah, huge Fallout fan with no desire to get this trash lol.
-
As someone who actually likes Fallout, of course. I'll be on PC with a group of people if anyone ever wants to join.

And no sane person was surprised.
-
I'm not sure I agree with the video author's supposition that "...getting your asshole sewn shut is technically more fun with friends."
But yes, this game was a trash-fire visible from orbit. I'm not sure why gamers keep falling for this.
Also lmao at Bethesda discovering that if you make all of your NPCs robots and computers you don't have to lipsync dialogue for them or bother making unique character models.

Buy me a copy and I'll play with you.
-
Yes. PC.
-

Because many of them are children?
-
All I want is to t-pose on a super mutant, is that so bad?
-
Wait... its out now?!
Geeze... rushed much?
-

The gaming market is, in general, dominated by adults.

Stop dominating all the children. >o<

How else am I supposed to get into the Bilderberg group?

I feel like I'm the minority here, but I actually like Fallout 76. I love the C.A.M.P, and the gunplay doesn't feel like shit.
Although it does have a wide array of glaring isssues, I find that I can look past them, because it's a fun game at its core.
Plus, there's Mothman. Who doesn't love Mothman, seriously?

On the notion of Supermutants existing only 20 years after the war.

heh, nice servers

It is probably running on a single raspberry pi.

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Two raspberry pi's duct taped together in Todd Howard's bedroom where he can furiously masturbate other the thought that people are in a way inside this contraption

They also don't need to worry about giving characters proper motivations or even making sense generally when they're all robots. Fallouts 1, 2, and NV had their fair share of eccentric characters, but nothing compared to Bethesda's deluge of utterly nonsensical characters that feel like part of a theme park instead of a functioning world.

I'm more survived that the games survive a single nuke, or even running for extended periods.
-
I'll probably get it at some point when I can afford it. It would annoy Saddam greatly, and that's a very good reason.

It will probably also be $10 in a couple months.
-
In a couple of months it will be free to play. It's TESO 2.0. They scam the people willing to pay for it first, then crank up the F2P lootbox garbage within a year.

"not interested in discussing how realistic things are in an alternate universe post-apoc game w/ talking mutants and ghouls"

At least Bethesda is trying a new approach to Super Mutants.

If anyone's seriously wondering, though, the new SMs are actually identical to the ones found in the Commonwealth in F4, meaning that they have no relation to the Vault 87 SMs, which might have made some geographical sense. Nope. It's a different Fallout game, and therefore it's a completely different batch of SMs to fight. It's like Bethesda is actively resisting building a cohesive body of lore around even their own games, deliberately avoiding opportunities to have stories tie into each other or let the setting develop over time.

How is this game still full price? Do people actually still buy it?
-
presumably so
-
A fallout mmorpg? Fuck that! I demand to be able to play with myself!
-
I want to try it, but not for 60€. If dumbarses would quit bying it maybe they'd get desperate enough to put a reasonable price on it.
-
f2p by summer
-
Free is too high a price for Fallout 76 because it's still asking for a non-zero amount of time you'll never get back.
-
Why isn't it possible to make a good multiplayer shooter RPG? The Division, Destiny 1 & 2, Fallout 76, and now Anthem have all had absolutely disastrous launches.
-
Trying out the free trial week. It's okay.
