Do you guys have any ideas of items that should be added to the store? (I want FES pencils)

GrayLeopard802, isn't producing a lot of merchandise, motivating people to buy more of it and contributing to acceptance of overbuying stuff to become a norm  a first step to meaningless heavy consumerism, which obviously corrupts society?

...but pretty much Absolute awareness is the biggest ever consumer, which consumes on its own illusions...

I heard that in years past the the FES offered a certificate of membership. I do not know if this is correct, but if so, is that certificate available? I would love to have one for my office. I have been following the theory for a couple of years now and find it absolutely fascinating. A certificate, I believe, would help solidify the gravity (pun intended!) and wholehearted authenticity of the society.
Thank you.

This used to (and possibly still is - I don't know) be the case with our sister society, from which we split off some years ago.

Personally, I'd prefer to avoid tying up our resources to anything that involves repetitive manual tasks (e.g. vetting members and hand-signing certificates). The alternative would be to allow anyone to generate and print their own certificate - but that would be largely meaningless, wouldn't it?

You could always set up a small test, that prints a certificate.

You ask 20 random questions, multiple guess. If the person gets 17 or more correct, they can download an achievement/membership certificate. If they got 17 right, they must have heard of Rowbotham, they must know what about the ice-wall, they have to have heard of moonshramp, else how else did they pass the test? Now its less meaningless. You at least know your schtick so you get a reward to stick on your fridge.

To the original question stated, to be honest, I don't know what we already have in our stock, but I think that both baseball caps and bracelets are good ways to appeal to people, the younger crowd especially.

Possibly. Then again, we all know what happens when you let people automatically generate stuff.

By the way, I just wanted to say well done on your epic Elon Musk tweet. You were on 'Have I got news for you' on the BBC this week (you probably know that). That's some awesome publicity. :-)

You're on at about 20 mins, with that guy that wants to boil himself in a steam powered rocked whilst proving the earth to be flat.

This is a not4profit organisation. We don't mark up any of the products. If the T-shirt costs $15 to make from cafepress, that is what you are charged. We don't sell books, or videos or advertisement space or charge membership or royalty rights, everything is free.

Now if you want a T-shirt that says "The earth is flatter than my wife" you can have one. And we won't charge you a dime for it.

And being one of those robe wearing, goat sacrificing, incantation chanting, master villians based in London, I look forward to seeing what an interpol representing, justice reporting, US Marshall like you is going to do about it.
