I will volunteer and be honest about what I see.

I've already answered that query. One area I looked at had a cement stairwell, but I've looked from other areas on that peninsula as well.

The point behind the picture I linked is that the beaches are easily seen on the opposite coast. It is a lighter colored line against the dark blue ocean. I never said that it was a picture of Santa Cruz. It is not carelessness or any mistake on my part. The sentence I wrote clearly says that it's an example of easily seen beaches on the opposite coast.

Here is my picture again:

Here is the picture of Santa Cruz posted earlier in this thread:

It might not pop out at you right away, but the pixels just above the water's surface in the Santa Cruz picture are lighter than the dark hills above it. If you look closely there is a light tan line in there, it is not dark on dark.

If you were looking at the whole scene in person starting from the closer coastline (the first image) and followed it into the distance to Santa Cruz (the second image), it would be easier to follow the light line of the beach.

There's a federal hiring freeze, dummy. And even if there wasn't, I doubt NASA advertises on jobsgalore.com, as auspicious as that site is. I do know that they hire plenty of engineers and scientists (yes, they have their own) through university student internships/co-ops.

Actually jobsgalore is an aggregation site which shows job postings from hundreds of job boards and classifieds sites. We can see the many contacting jobs available for Goddard alone. Goddard is hiring contractors as its programmers and engineers.

If only all those thousands of engineers, scientists, and their financial backers were as smart as you!

We don't have private space vacations or space hotels as of yet, despite constant promises since the 1960's. They don't seem to be smart enough. :(

It's pretty common knowledge that NASA is very heavy on the contracting, just like the DoD is. Just look at any major job board and search for NASA jobs. Everything you find will be for a third party company.

There are two types of space companies. I will describe them briefly

Private Companies who work with NASA

Lockheed Martin, Grumman Aerospace, Computer Sciences Corporation, et. all... These companies are basically Temp Agencies who send people to NASA bases (maybe off-base in some situations) to do work under the supervision of NASA managers. The workers get a check from their Temp Agency, but receive their working instructions and marching orders from NASA. There are actually very few NASA employees. The only people who really work for NASA are the upper level managers and the security personnel. Everything else is temped/contracted out. There is generally no such thing as a NASA engineer or a NASA scientist.

This is what was Eisenhower and his administration meant by proposing NASA as a "civilian space agency".

Private Companies who do not work with NASA

These companies are basically throwing their money away for something that is not achievable. Maybe they can get to "space" for a small about of time, but certainly not into earth orbit, as it does not exist.

500x?  What was aperture?   All telescopes have inverted images unless a erecting prism is used.

I don't have the telescope anymore, couldn't say. It was done 10 years ago.

I don't think that refracting telescopes are inverted.

There are other small beaches in that area that point towards Santa Cruz.

I believe I used a reflecting telescope of about 500x. Everything was upside down.

What else would you like to know?
I think we all, Flat and Round, would like to know: Which of those "other small beaches" were you using?

There is an area nearby with a cement stairwell that leads down to a small beachy area. That whole area at the end of the peninsula is generally referred to as Lover's Point.

Also:
2. Do you still stand by this statement: "Even with the unaided naked eye one can see the beaches along the opposite coast."
3. Are you aware that the image linked to in your above statement is not an image of the Santa Cruz beach you were referencing?

My statement is correct. Its a picture of beaches along the opposite coast. I didn't say it was Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz would be at the leftmost tip, which that picture does not show.

Sorry. I thought you flat earthers had an answer to and for everything ? Except an accurate flat earth map ?

Our yearly budget is probably negative $250, or however much it costs to run this website for a year. We don't have the funds to explore the world and gather all of these answers.

Surely there should be some public service spirited volunteers in TFES who are experts in these fields who would donate their services at no cost as a public service to answer these questions ?

Now if these were "round earth" questions there are plenty of sources to get answers for free. For example, I have  visited and exchanged e-mails with Mc Donald Astronomical Observatory. They have always been ready,  willing and eager to answer questions.

Surely the FES would have similar places for information ?

I'm going to take a stab in the dark and guess that the Mc Donald Astronomical Observatory doesn't have a budget of negative $250 a year.

Do people set up and join websites and societies where the primary subject matter is what caused existence? Not really. You simply accept that we exist and you should simply accept that the shape of the earth is what it is. Does it really matter?

I do simply accept the shape of the earth for what it is.

However, there are many people who should be more curious about the world. Round Earthers choose to disbelieve their own experiences in favor of media hype like dogs to the whistle.

Does it really matter whether the earth is flat or globe shaped?

That is the primary subject matter here.

I don't see why it matters what mysterious phenomenon causes things to fall, however.

We want to know why things fall down for pretty much the same reason we are curious about the shape of the earth and all the other phenomena we observe.

I think it is just part of human nature to want to know.

Do people walk around all day racking their brains all day about what caused existence? Not really. You simply accept that we exist, and you should simply accept that things fall.

I would like to know what force is moving the sun and moon in a circle above the earth? If "gravity doesn't exist" then what causes the sun follow the circular path that the flat earth model describes? I have not yet seen an explanation for this.

Unknown.

The usual FE answer. LOL
On the flat earth, the earth stands still and the sun and the moon move around the earth.
IF the earth WAS flat, that is. Paraphraising the old Will Rogers saying, "All I know is what I read in the flat earth wiki and that's my excuse for ignorance." There are quite a few things that are "unknown" to FE's.6
They are both 32 miles in diameter and 3,000 miles above the earth, just under the ice dome above the earth.
They don't collide with each other since  " they wobble up and down."
I have also read that it has something to do with "the celestial gears."
On the round earth , the sun stands still and the earth  moves around the sun and the moon  moves around the earth . IF the earth IS round, that is.

Why do we have to know everything?

Yes, hardly identical. One guy has blue eyes and straight teeth and the other guy has brown eyes and a gap in his teeth.

8618
Keep in mind, we still haven't been shown any good evidence that it was a cover-up in the first place. Is the existence of a few lookalikes really the only "evidence" that you have? In the spirit of the season: Sad! Weak! Terrible!

Because identical doppelgangers with the same name are so common?

There's again no motive. Why would they fake a failure?

The motive is covering up a prop malfunction.
But why wouldn't they just cover up that there was any failure at all?

Millions of people saw an alleged space ship full of people blow up spectacularly on live TV. They had to do something about that.
