Title: Definition of a Shill
Post by: Dither on June 20, 2017, 12:22:47 AM
Just asking what everyone's definition of a Shill is,

Is it ?

1. A person posing as a Round Earther who actually knows the world is flat.
2. A person posing as a Flat Earther who thinks the world is round.
3. A person posing as a Flat Earther who knows the world is flat but is undermining the movement.

Have I missed any?

According to some, any active supporter of RET is a shill.

I agree, and too many of us FE's are quick to hold up the shill card.
I guess it comes with the enormity of the conspiracy to see devils in every detail.
But enthusiastic RE's are not shills unless perhaps this is happening?

4. An RET supporter who is getting paid by an organisation to troll sites.

Paid by which organisation, and why?

What would that organisation profit?

I would have to search it but someone called me a paid shill a few weeks ago.

There could be FET supporters who are paid by an organization to troll forums too. I'm pretty sure the word shill would imply an outside agency in this instance.  I almost hate to say it but I sometimes wonder about Intikam.

Can you sign up for this? If so where, what are the rates, is there a union for shills, do you get a list of other shills (dangerous, infiltrator alert!), to stop the trolling of the trolls, by the trolls, do I get a voodoo doll of Inti' or is that just for Junker?
