According to the flat earth model (
https://wiki.tfes.org/Sun) the sun is ~3000 miles above the Earth. Let's assume it is the autumnal or spring equinox. This would place the FE sun directly over the equator. If we have an observer on the equator, at noon, the sun will be 3000 miles directly above him, correct? At sunset, how far would the sun be from the observer? The distance obviously has to increase, correct? What's this new, longer distance?
