House of Cards.

Season 2 dropped on Netflix today, I will probably watch several episodes. Has anyone watched season 1 and have any thoughts? I liked it after I could get past Kevin Spacey's retarted accent.

I started watching the first episode but I had to go out. I don't remember what was happening, he didn't get some form of position because they wanted him in Congress, I think it was. Would you recommend it, or should I just watch it if I have some spare time?

I like the show a lot, and it seems super popular. It won an Emmy for best directing in a drama or something.

It's basically about Congressman Frank Underwood's rise to power, and he stops at nothing to get what he wants. It's kinda corny, politicians are evil and all that, and at points is predictable, but I think the series really picks up towards the second half of the first season, and shit is already hitting the fan in the first episode of season two.

It is a pretty good show. Robin Wright plays the ice queen Lady Macbeth type perfectly. Can't wait to watch season two.

I'm going to check that out after, Chris.

One thing i dislike about the show, though it gets better in season two, is there is no depth to any characters besides the Underwoods. They all are just moronic pawns.

The framed congressman from season 1 has quite a lot of depth I thought.  Kate Mara's character as well.  Lack of depth in supporting characters in this instance does not bother me too much, since I am really just watching to see how far Frank will go in his quest for power.

I just feel like he's too powerful, everything is too easy, and everyone is too stupid in season 1. After more of season 2 this gets much better, and he faces a lot more problems.

I am on to Ep 5 and I love the coup in the Senate. Claire's interview was also awesome.

It's the best show on right now in my opinion.
