A lot of companies seem to be trying to do this, with subtle variations to get around patents I should imagine.

Well not much we can do.  This is the future.  Now put this plus Google glasses and you've got a VR interface.
If you are going to DebOOonK an expert then you have to at least provide a source with credentials of equal or greater relevance. Even then, it merely shows that some experts disagree with each other.

This sounds cool but it might also be pretty frustrating to use. If I tried one out at a store or convention and liked it, then its something I'd probably get if the price is right.
