Flat Earth Theory / Re: Flight Times?...

I appreciate you taking your time to reply and posting that link but that map allows me to manipulate it so I can't trust its integrity.

What a nonsense this is.

How is this a nonsense? You send me a map that I can phisically change myself! How can I trust what I'm doing is correct, you obviously don't know either as your offering no answers just trying to insult others (great help and credit to this website)
Why don't you go and offer no help on someone else's thread. Your just a typical keyboard warrior who wouldn't dream of speaking to someone like this face to face. Pathetic.

No one knows what is the correct map. You cannot trust what you are doing is correct. Deal with it or live in your own dreams and fantasies.

This is the whole point, I'm trying to find out some answers to the questions I have so I can up with my own conclusions.
I'm extremely curious about this whole subject and so far on my research there is more evidence to suggest the earth is flat than round but no one can offer me an explanation to my previous question.

Eactly, because 'no one' seems to know the correct map. That is the weakness of the flat earth theory.
One thing is clear though. The standard flat earth map (UN map) is very probably wrong. That's why there is no (correct) answer to your questions.

Thank you, I guess I just need to do more research of my own.

(by contrast here is RE map: notice the different position of New Zealand, http://worldatlas.com/worldmaps/worldpoliticallarge.jpg )

http://www.flight-durations.com/London-to-Wellington

22 hours 55 minutes - 18,000 km

http://www.flight-durations.com/Pretoria-to-Wellington-International-Airport

14 hours 23 minutes - 11,805 km

There is something else you should worry about: the very fact that Greenland appears either as a tiny island or as a gigantic continent (bigger than Canada and the USA put together) on two different RE maps, which are supposed to show the SAME thing.

Thank you for your reply,
I get what you mean about Greenland, it appears to be a different size on virtually every map.

Just one question about that RE map, isn't that country highlighted in red Cuba?
Isn't New Zealand to the bottom right of the map?

I'm not trying to disprove anything and trust me I have an open mind but you need to address all the facts and try to take an objective view to obtain the truth.

The problem with this forum is that as soon as you post a question that even slightly questions the flat earth theory everyone gets aggressive and/or rude instead of answering the question with facts or opinions.

I'm not currently for or against the flat earth theory as I have only been researching this for a week and I have seen some evidence to suggest that the earth is flat but to be certain you need to be able to look at all the evidence to suggest otherwise and be able to prove against it.

I have a genuine question that I have come across that puts the flat earth theory into question and I was wondering if anybody has an answer to counter this question instead of just accusing me of being anti flat earth.

If you google flat earth map you will see all the maps put South Africa further away from New Zealand than the UK but the flight time is around 9 hours less, I personally cannot see how this could be possible on a flat earth map but it is on a round earth map. So I was hoping someone with superior knowledge in this field would be able to answer this honest unbiased question in an informative way?

Every Flat Earth map I come across has the UK at half the distance to New Zealand than South Africa to New Zealand but flight times are less from South Africa, how could this be?

Approximate flight duration time from London, UK to Wellington, New Zealand is 24 hrs, 16 mins

Approximate flight duration time from Wellington, New Zealand to Pretoria, South Africa is 15 hrs, 16 mins

If the flat earth theory is correct then this cannot be possible?! Can anyone share some light or have I found a floor in the flat earth theory?  ???

Flat Earth Theory / Flight Times?...

Hi there

I was looking into the Flat earth and round earth theories in regards to flight journey times.
When looking on the flat earth map the UK is around half the distance to New Zealand that South Africa is, which leads me to wonder why the flight time is less from South Africa?
Can anybody explain this?

Look forward to your replies

Thanks for your reply, as I said earlier I've only been researching this subject since yesterday so excuse my ignorance but are you suggesting the planet has been constructed? By whom?

Is there any links you could post to any videos/ information that could Broaden my knowledge on the subject? That would be greatly appreciated.

Also referring back to my first question on my previous post, has anyone tried to find the end of the earth even if it's exists?

Flat Earth Theory / End of the earth

Hi all,
I am very green on this particular subject as i only came accross this website and subject yesterday and it has grabbed my attention in a big way. At first thought i was thinking "no way is this possible" but after a few hours of research i can quite clearly see you guys are on to something here.
I have a question though or maybe two that i would love to know the answers to.
Q1: The only way to prove this theory conclusively would be to go to the end of the world. Has anyone done this or is anyone planning to?
Q2: What benefit does the government gain in leading us into believing that earth is a sphere?

Look forward to responses.
