I mean the perfect app with a barometer is a diving app to say how deep you are, but of course apple decided their sports watch didn't need to be waterproof.

My guess is that the diver watch market is more specialized that what Apple is looking to get into.

Apple reps offered individual briefings to some tech writers; there I learned a bunch of stuff that Apple didn’t say in its keynote.

For example, the Apple Watch is water resistant. Sweating, wearing it in the rain, washing your hands, or cooking with it are fine. Take it off before you swim or get in the shower, though.

I'm interested in the iWatch, but the idea of a SmartWatch isn't exactly an Apple innovation... It's been around for at least 5 years now.

And you can see just how well the market is doing, can't you?

The iWatch looks the worst out of all the SmartWatches on the market at this point, at least when you compare prices.

Let's see how developers take to the iWatch and then see how it compares.

When you choose to do something, with other better options available, the consequences of your bad choice is your fault.

Tom, if you chose to live in a bad neighborhood, it's usually because you don't have any better options available.

Bad people exist, and there is nothing you can do about it except take precautions.

They did take precautions.  They put their photos in their password protected, encrypted iCloud accounts. 

JL took embarrassing photos of herself, despite the many risks. The humiliation she receives is her fault. She can't remove the bad people from the world. She can't remove the risks. But she could have easily avoided the situation by not taking the photos.

Tom, you might just as well say that if you don't want your money stolen, then you shouldn't have any because bad people can steal it no matter where you put it (wallet, bank, mattress, sock drawer, etc.)

So, answer me a simple question: in the last 300 years, what, other than oil and thoroughbred horses, of value has the Muslim World managed to produce? Ok, I'll grant, Persian rugs, and Persian kitties are nice. The last are nice and cuddly.

But seriously, the Middle East especially,and Muslims generally, have not been able to produce one thing of value that the world couldn't live without in 300 years. All they have done in 300 years is basically get in the way and piss the rest of the world off.

Islam pretty much brought Europe out of the dark ages.

Why, in the name of all sane things, would you send special forces to take out rocket launchers, to risk their lives, when said launchers will only be rebuilt somewhere else within days?

Well, they could also take out the militants running those rocket launchers while they're there.  Besides, if you prove that rocket launchers in civilian neighborhoods aren't safe, then maybe they'll stop setting them up there.

Far better to simply fight a real war and get it over with.

And even better than that would be to limit collateral damage to innocent civilians as well as your own national reputation.

How the Hell you claim victory after losing 2100 people, half of them militants, I don't begin to comprehend, but ok, fine.

By making Israel look like brutal savages who have no regard for civilian casualties.

No, but you apparently are.  If you can take out rocket launchers without killing 2100 innocent civilians teaches the lesson that you can destroy your targets and still be a member of the civilized world.  After all, only barbarians intentionally cause unnecessary pain and suffering to their enemies.
