Flat Earth Theory / Will Inspiration4 convince Flat Earth believers?

On September 15th, the Inspiration4 space flight is scheduled to take 4 civilians to space on board a SpaceX Dragon capsule. These civilians will see Earth from space, take pictures and give first hand accounts of what they see. If they report that they see a globe, will you believe their simple, first hand, observations? Will you acknowledge this large science experiment as proof one way or the other?  One of the Flat Earth values is to just look and believe what your eyes are telling you; to believe the most obvious, simplest truth. Will that apply to the crew of Inspiration4? Will you believe their first hand report or dismiss it?

The https://wiki.tfes.org/Southern_Celestial_Rotation page has the following question and answer

Q. How can two people on opposite sides of the earth in Australia and South America both see the same South Pole Stars simultaneously?
A. Since those areas are many hours apart from each other, when it is night or dusk for one area it is likely day or dawn for the other. It is questioned whether it is the case that those observers see the same stars simultaneously. Due to the time difference it may be that they see the stars alternately.

Can we discuss a better answer?  During the weeks surrounding the solstice in December this answer is true and works great, but in June the hours of darkness on the southern coast of Australia and South America are lengthened to the point that they do indeed have simultaneous viewing of the same stars.  I used https://www.timeanddate.com/sun/south-africa/cape-town to compare the nautical twilight hours in Cape Town, South Africa to Melbourne, Australia on June 14th, 2020 and there are over 3 hours of simultaneous night time viewing at those locations.

What would be a better answer to this question?

Flat Earth Community / Is FET Dangerous?

There's a growing anti-intellectual strain in this country.  It may be the beginning of the end of our informed democracy.  Ofcourse, in a free society, you can and should think what ever you want and if you want to think the world is flat, go right ahead.  But if you think the world is flat and you have influence over others, then being wrong becomes being harmful to the health the wealth and the security of our citizenry.

We want to make sure, that the next person who joins the board to ask questions about their newly found belief, aren't misinformed. That the social presence of TFES doesn't lead young people to believe what TFES is actually claiming. To me, that's just as dangerous as religious indoctrination.

People might be coming here because they aren't sure, and then they see your facile arguments and they might start believing in nonsense. Believing in nonsense gets people killed.

Is Flat Earth Theory dangerous?
Is tfes.org dangerous?
Is it harmful if a young person becomes convinced that the Earth is flat?
Is it harmful to our community for prominent figures to declare belief in the flat Earth?
What if you don't believe it? What if you're just messing around.  Is that dangerous?

During the live stream leading up to the mission, a SpaceX employee explained that the company would have to cut off footage from the Falcon 9 rocket once the vehicle reached orbit. And the host said restrictions from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration were to blame.

Flat Earth Theory / Flat Earth Map Should Be Easy

I have started my Flight-time Flat Earth Map Project and will be starting a topic soon to share with ya'll.  Before I do, I want to test out the premise of my map project here on a debate thread.  Here it is...

If the surface of the Earth is flat and the surface of a piece of paper is flat, then it should be easy to make an accurate map.

Also, if the Earth is flat but the paper is curved, it should be problematic to make an accurate map.
Likewise, if the Earth is curved but the paper is flat, it should be problematic to make an accurate map.
Finally, if the Earth is curved and the paper is curved, it should be smooth sailing to make an accurate map.

When I begin my Map Project topic, I don't want it be a debate thread.  So I thought I'd start here.  Please join me in refining my premise here, before I begin the project.

When I look at this video released from the International Space Station looking down at Hurricane Harvey, it looks absolutely real to me.

• It is higher than any plane can fly.
• It is moving faster than any plane can fly.
• It is current.  Harvey is happening today and there it is.

What about this video is not believable?
Come on guys.  Believe with me that the ISS is just what NASA and Russia and Japan and Europe say it is.
