Shetland (UK) space centre for satellite launches
« on: February 20, 2020, 08:29:16 AM »
Pesky space centres sending up more balloons!

"Plans to launch a space centre in Shetland have received a £2m investment boost, it has been revealed.  Shetland Space Centre (SSC) said private equity firm Leonne International's financial injection gave it a 20% stake in the business."

I wonder who exactly is funding this and why, if it's complete folly.

For those that don't know, the Shetlands are remote islands in Scotland; "a subarctic archipelago in the Northern Isles of Scotland, situated in the Northern Atlantic, between Great Britain, the Faroe Islands and Norway".

The person in my avatar does not exist, and that's unsettling.

Ask nasa balloon program office for details - spying on Russia maybe.

WAIT....so you could tether these starlink type things at 120,000 feet and no one would doubt you're not in space? nice !

Sats technically....oh yeah, I knew NASA was all fake news !!!

People are ignorant. 4 times the height of commercial aircraft lmao
What kind of person would devote endless hours posting scientific facts trying to correct the few retards who believe in the FE? I slay shitty little demons.
