Terminal Velocity

In the Round Earth model, terminal velocity happens when the acceleration due to gravity is equal to the acceleration due to drag. In the Flat Earth model, however, there are no balanced forces: terminal velocity happens when the upward acceleration of the person is equal to the upward acceleration of the Earth.

Q: If gravity does not exist, how does terminal velocity work?

A: When the acceleration of the person is equal to the acceleration of the Earth, the person has reached terminal velocity.

Why is terminal velocity even a thing in the UA model of FE?  It is a concept applicable to free falling bodies, which according to UA don’t exist.  Things don’t fall…the earth rises up to meet them.

But it is a demonstrable fact that if a person jumps out of a plane the distance between the person and ground decreases at an increasing rate until at some point (depending or air density, humidity, weight…etc.), the distance begins decreasing at a constant rate.

What causes that if the earth is rising at a constant rate and there is no air resistance (because the person is not actually “falling” but is suspended motionless) to affect the rate at which the distance between the earth and person decreases? Not to mention the fact that when a skydiver opens a chute, the rate decreases…what would cause the decrease?  Again, it can’t be drag…because there is no drag on something that is not falling.

One of the primary proofs for the Universal Accelerator is the fact that bodies fall without inertial resistance.

But in a non-vacuum environment  bodies do fall with air resistance which wouldn’t be the case unless the body is actually moving through the air and not just suspended motionless until the ground reaches it.

If you release a feather and a bowling ball at the same height and both are suspended motionless until the earth meets it…why does the earth reach the bowling ball first?

Flat Earth Theory / UA and Inclined Planes

How would one calculate the rate of acceleration of an object on an inclined plane in a UA scenario?

With gravity (assuming no friction or applied force for simplicity), you begin by finding the perpendicular and parallel components of gravity acting on the object.  Since the normal and perpendicular forces will cancel each other out, we are left with only the parallel component of gravity acting as the net force accelerating the object.

My assumption would be that one would use the same process for UA. The directions of the UA force and normal force would be reversed from the directions of gravity and the normal force, but since they would still cancel each other out, it wouldn’t affect the calculations.  However, using the same process would mean that instead of gravity acting as the only force accelerating the object, UA is only force accelerating the object.
 
Objects require force to accelerate and they will always accelerate in the direction of net force…so how would anything slide down an incline in a UA environment?

Flat Earth Theory / Spirit Levels on a Flat Earth

So I have been making my way through Earth Not A Globe and came across this on page 110

“…If a delicate spirit-level be firmly placed upon a rock or upon the most solid foundation which it is possible to construct, the very curious phenomenon will be observed of constant change in the position of the air-bubble.  However carefully the “level” may be adjusted, and the instrument protected from the atmosphere, the “bubble” will not maintain its position may seconds together…”
 

And it made me wonder how a spirit level could even work on a flat earth when they are designed to indicate “level” as “perpendicular to gravity”.  “Level” is a relative term, so when the bubble is in the middle, what is the spirit level using as a baseline for “level”, if not gravity? And what is the mechanism for determining something is level relative to the baseline?

Anybody have any ideas?

Flat Earth Theory / Can FE disprove the RE explanation of Gravity?

I understand that FE has at least a couple of different explanations for “gravity”, but really all they are is alternative explanations for why things fall.

In order for FE to be true, the the RE explanation for why things fall must be false.  Just offering alternative explanations doesn’t do that.

Is there any evidence that the RE explanation can’t be true?
