Universal Acceleration
« on: January 28, 2020, 07:01:45 PM »
Universal acceleration theory of gravity posits that the earth is moving upwards at an acceleration of 9.8m/s/s. However, this acceleration is not the same everywhere on earth i.e. higher altitudes show a diminished acceleration. Globe earth theory explains this using the universal law of gravity which is an inverse square law (the further two objects are from one another, the less the attractive force is between them).

How does flat earth theory explain these verifiable differences on earth?

Because that's only what those scientists who've gone to such altitudes say. We can't forget the possibility that such an altitude would present a different perspective and make such tests unreliable at best. That's if we forget the massive amount of resources necessary to conduct such an experiment and the probability of it being government funded. Of course, any such research would be biased and satanistic due to this corrupt association.

Since the Earth is not a perfect sphere then the acceleration due to gravity is not the same at sea level around the globe. At the north pole it measures around 9.83 m s^-2 and at the equator 9.79 m s^-2.

In FET the Earth is accelerating upwards at 1 g due to "dark energy"

We know very little about dark energy and its never been measured directly, but what we do know is that it's causing the universe to expand. However, the expansion due to dark energy only works on very large scales such as super clusters of galaxies. On smaller scales such as planets, solar systems, galaxies and even local clusters of galaxies, gravity still dominates. Dark energy only dominates in the large voids between super clusters where there's very little normal matter.

FET wiki has some serious flaws.

Groit, please make sure your future posts do not follow the pattern of: "FET claims <x>, but in reality <RET>, so FET is false". You are introducing nothing of value to the discussion. If you'd like to just state that you think you're correct, you can do so in Angry Ranting and/or Complete Nonsense.
Read the FAQ before asking your question - chances are we already addressed it.

Sorry for the necropost, but I have a UA question for flat earthers. I’m not a theoretical physicist, just a very curious engineer, however I believe I’ve come to understand enough to try to poke holes in UA again.

The way that dark energy applies forces on other bodies is by means of warping spacetime in the opposite way that mass warps space time via gravity. Instead of an actual force pushing you, think of it as the environment created a valley or hill and you roll forward or back, except this is in 4 dimensions. This is what warping spacetime is. If you accept that action as it’s accepted in UA, wouldn’t you need to accept gravity as at least possible? If you actually studied dark energy rather than cherry picking what scientists have come up with, perhaps you could prove yourselves wrong about gravity?

It could have something to do w/ the distance you are from the accelerating force?
It could have something to do w/ atmospheric density both in the RE and FE measurements.
The RE measurements could be off.
In the FE from a higher altitude you could be affected by the sun/moon gravity slightly pulling up on you.

FET wiki has some serious flaws.

You have to understand that this is a working theory that is growing and evolving. It has less flaws now than it did several months ago and it will have less flaws in the future than it does now

The FE'ers on Discord who argue in favor of UA are using Vacuum Energy as an energy mechanism for it, claiming that under current theories it provides an infinite energy source.
