FE and RE both welcome for a visual experiment
« on: September 13, 2017, 03:36:46 AM »

Here's an image from a facility built to precise specifications. Can you guess what they are? No reverse image searching. That's cheating here. If you know exactly what it is, I encourage you to hold on answering until the poll is over. Well you can select a poll answer, but don't go ruining the suspense for others.

Poll will be up for one week. I'm interested to see what happens.

Looks like they send gerbils down the tube until they cry uncle. Another version of cern?

I know what this photo is of...I actually visited this place once (a VERY long time ago)...and it's a very strange experience.  :-)
Hey Tom:  What path do the photons take from the physical location of the sun to my eye at sunset?

Is it this place?

A lie will make it around the world before the truth has time to put on its shoes.

The answer depends on your definition of "normal". It looks like a very long corridor (probably a single-digit kilometre figure) filled with very clear air. Is that normal? I guess there's nothing abnormal about it. But it's likely not common

Hint: It's actually 2 miles long...and you FE'ers should *LOVE* this one!

I'll take that for a decent guess.

and you FE'ers should *LOVE* this one!
Well, the clarity of the air (possibly effected by low temperature?) obviously affects EA, but it's not particularly *lovable*

Not sure why the squirrel dude got all excited about this? Long straight corridor, tube very visible on right behind steel beams and glass with explanation boards. Obviously for tours. The construction is old, high voltage on left spaced periodically along with steam pipes wrapped and pumps. Gee what travels in a straight line in a controlled environment? Light? Particles?

You got to be kidding me, are all roundies this ig?

Ya still haven't figured out 95% of matter but you keep collecting the people money chasing the devil. No the satellite is fake, never happened.

2 miles ain't far enough to judge anything, besides the military would cover it up anyway.

Whats the point of this devilish post? First post and the answer is revealed and I had no clue where it is. Now I do, Stanford retards.

Even Fermi can't just swing around and take a picture of earth from 350 miles up. Why? fake fake fake more taxpayer money.

I like the interesting nature of the photo for a particular reason. I was curious how people would look at and see it based on their preconceptions.

'This ig?' Huh?

Military cover up what?

Congrats, do you have any idea then what's special about it?

Why feel the need to lie? The Fermi telescope is used to detect gamma rays, not visible light. Pointing it at Earth would be as pointless as your posts.

Nothing special, it's a fraud to soak taxpayer money as usual.

Ask yourself this. Why in the world would you build another one of these if in fact you could just rocket up to the sky and take photos like the Hubbley Bubbly? I'll tell you why, because you can't leave here, there is a dome preventing all exploration. So lets build ground based telescopes interfered with all the unnatural light now and pollution to see lights in the sky. Anyone who looked thru telescopes sees lights, multicolored lights, flashing away like strobes. God is Great...

This on the other hand is nothing more than we got to build it so we can talk more Bullshit.

You guys sound like recorders. Face it, you can't take a picture of Earth because you can't get above it thru the firmament. You're trapped like a rat.

Gamma Rays  lmao

Gamma rays were able to help my back swing, which in turn cut 2 strokes off my game. I'm now planning on installing some gamma ray tech into my laptop to watch porn quicker and with more detail. See I work at one of those .gov facilities where we walk around all day looking at metal boxes with nothing in them and wires going all over the place. The real techie look. Then Herman makes a CGI photo of these particle explosions and we all go WOW...then Gertrude writes up some BS about our discovery and donuts/starbucks for everyone !

More to the story: Then there was Kurt, we'd smoke pot in the turbine room, he was head maintenance guru. He's the one who had certain machines set to make noises like shit was actually happening at the facility. This way employees who were compartmentalized could hear their efforts or be fooled anyway as they put together and took apart the crap components. Anyway Kurt added some volts and amps to this Golf Cart cause he was bored and man that thing did wheelies. The battery lasted longer and did zero-60 in like 2.5 seconds. Well the DOE got wind of it one day as Kurt was hauling ass doing 1/4 mile time trials in that corridor and low and behold, Kurt is now head engineer for none other than Elon. Fast cars and fast women that Kurt is today and DOE has a new place to ship taxpayer money.

So yes squirrelly dude this place is special. Charge the tards $80k a year for tuition and promise them a yob creating the God Particle..uh huh

Check out this website, it's like kiddie land.

Willful ignorance is such a sad thing. News flash, I own a telescope. There are no multicolored lights. In fact, everything is pretty much white. You can detect a little red from Mars and a little brown from Jupiter.  That about all the color you see. Need to attach a camera and take pics to see any color. No strobes. The stars twinkle a little, that's it. I'm sure you think that is all the devil's work and whatnot, but you'd be wrong.

It is definitely willful ignorance.  The information is out there.

What do you think all of those astronomers are doing?  Staring at little colored dots all night long?   Making maps of them?

Actually, no.   These days, it's rare to even bother looking at photos and maps of the stars.   What's MUCH more interesting is their light spectrum and the variations in their intensities over time.   (Yeah - "color and twinkle" if you must).   Most astronomers have never even visited the telescopes that they're doing observations through - and since many of those instruments are out there in space, most astronomers couldn't go look through their telescopes even if they wanted to.

By looking at subtle variations on those things, they can learn the distance, mass and chemical composition of a star - how old it is, what "family" it belongs to - how many planets it has and what size they are.

This is mostly done with math and gigantic computer programs.

The "looking through telescopes" part of the job pretty much vanished over the last few decades.

I think we all know where this is going so lets get it over with.

It is Cern.
The corridor looks straight.
But shock/horror, Cern is built into a giant ring.
So something round looks straight.  :o

Dun dun daaaaaahhhhhh!
