To be fair Stephen really seems not to be the best person to be a FE advocate and debate the theory.

However as it stands right now I really do believe that if you took someone with basic knowledge of gravity, trigonometry  and astronomy they would be able to go toe to toe with someone who is very knowledgeable in FE theory.  There are just many wholes in FE theory that leave a lot of questions with unsatisfactory answers that fit really nicely and work if the world is round.

I do not even think one FE model can be used to answer certain questions.  They would need to switch from one model to another.

What are your thoughts?

I watched 10:18 and stopped after he began snickering again.

He was laughing and holding back laughter the entire time.

Not a very fair or reasonable discussion in my eyes. Jokes on him I guess.

And to be fair to Molyneux if he knows very little about FE theory and is hearing certain stuff for the first time like gravity does not exist, etc it may surprise him.  FE theory has a lot of things that do not fit with the knowledge of over 2,000 years of observations that continually reinforces a round Earth.

I implore you to continue, you may see the surprise ending where he concedes that the FE is a reality.  ;D

So, if that's the case it makes matters worse. A guy on YouTube goes from snickering and mocking to conceding the earth is flat?

In one conversation?

If that video sways anyones opinion, I certainly have pity on them.

Likely set up either way. Just doesn't add up. But I may skip ahead. I'd hate to waste me bandwidth on rubbish though.

Oh come on! whats the worst that will happen if you watch the entire video? will the world stop being flat?

If I sat there and watched a 2 hour video on flat earth, the least you can do is watch this one video to its entirety!

Did you watch it to its entirety, from beginning to end?

Did you watch it to its entirety, from beginning to end?

I watched the first 10:18 and then I came back to it and skipped around a bit, then went to the last 8 minutes to see the grand ending that never came...

You acquired nearly 20 minutes of my breathing time. Congratulations!

Did you have something to discuss in the video?

What I find to hard to understand on the conspiracy aspect of FE theory is would have had to have started prior to the 1960's.

The Mercator projection began be used around 1570's.  The reason "they" said it was needed because the maps being used without were inaccurate because trying to use a flat math based on a round earth without it made it difficult to navigate reliably and easily. The easy part is you can use straight lines to calculate distance and direction.  Something that would not have needed to be done if the Earth was flat.

This is just one example that suggest that this conspiracy has been going on a long time.

no you have to watch the video in its entirety. you wouldnt start a movie the first 10 minutes then skip to the end would you? Or read the first chapter then skip to the final chapter would you? You would miss all the juicy bits!

So getting back to it. I dont think Stefan was being biased or one sided. I think he gave the guy a fair chance to prove his argument. And asked him to cite facts and examples of why, He also asked how it could be disproven to which there was no answer.

I didn't go for it at all, it was rather boring etc!
But you complain "Not a very fair or reasonable discussion in my eyes.", that is a bit of a laugh.
You have seen the Jeranism, Dubay, etc Flat Earth videos?  Nuff said!
