Flat Earth Theory / Re: Terminal Velocity?
« on: February 03, 2020, 05:02:03 AM »
If there was such a thing as gravity, it would never reach terminal velocity. The closer you get to Earth the more it pulls you in. Shouldn’t gravity make an object accelerate until it comes in contact with the object.
Conventional physics teaches that terminal velocity is where the force of gravity is matched by an opposing force of air resistance.

Does being a Bernie Bro mean you support socialism?
Different people mean very different things by "socialism". I would like to establish a common definition before answering this. To some it just means an expanded welfare state, to others it's an authoritarian regime, and then there's plenty of in-betweens.

I take socialism to mean a system where the means of production and distribution are controlled by the collective. Also, at least originally, socialism was intended as an intermediate step toward communism. Systems like this predictably lead to authoritarianism because some humans don't want to give up their individualism and freedom. So this is what happens to those freedom loving people: Like “hey, you guys are all causing problems, you’re like, working against the revolution; we’re just going to remove you and put you in Siberia, where you learn the f*cking value of like being a comrade.

The welfare state, while possibly socialistic in nature, is not socialism in my view.

Hmm. Well I didn't read the whole thing but it looks like a patently biased Wikipedia page probably written by someone from CNN or NBC.

What is your reasoning/evidence for this?

Well I wasn't really a stating it as a provable fact. I was commenting on how it appeared to me, basically because of the use of rhetorical language all slanted in a particular direction.

Also, thanks for the links.

Tell me this, IF you thought this guy was especially important or influential would you be bothered by it or just shrug and say, "Well at least we'll all be equal and that's more important than anything"?
I mean, probably, but it doesn't sound like he's particularly important. Every movement has its nutjobs, and when they come to light, opponents of the movement prefer it's a big deal. There's a sensible middle ground here between not caring at all and panicking over it.
Ok. Some more questions. Does being a Bernie Bro mean you support socialism? And have the pros and cons of socialism been debated on this site? Is it even allowed or will it get shut down by Gulag Junker?

This is Project Veritas.  It's pretty much par for the course.
Yeah, I've heard CNN and NBC don't have much good to say about Project Veritas. So probably best to follow their lead. Keep up the good work.

I don't think you quite understand.

These people are criminals.

“…So, that, that was the intention, of Gulags, right? not only to elim- like, remove, like people where were like insidious to the state from the state, right? Like “hey, you guys are all causing problems, you’re like, working against the revolution; we’re just going to remove you and put you in Siberia, where you learn the f*cking value of like being a comrade.” Like, and that’s what it has to be.

“Yeah, you’re not gonna get Bernie to say “Gulags” but like, I’m all aboard for Gulags

Every campaign has hundreds of field organizers. There's nothing suggesting that this guy is at all especially important or influential, and I don't see him as a credible source for his claim that his beliefs are widespread among the campaign. I'm embarrassed for O'Keefe that he's trying to present this as as some kind of takedown of Bernie.

Well I presented it like that, so you can be embarrassed for me if you like. Did O'Keefe present this as as some kind of take down or simply report what he'd heard?

While this persons views were a little more radical than your average "Bernie Bro" I have found his sentiments to be more widespread than you have by all appearances.

Tell me this, IF you thought this guy was especially important or influential would you be bothered by it or just shrug and say, "Well at least we'll all be equal and that's more important than anything"?

Well he's a Bernie 2020 Field Organizer, not really some random ass employee. And if you listened he says there are a bunch of people in their campaign who feel the same. Bernie himself is a fan of communism and has been to the Soviet Union partying with like minded individuals.

Which one of you Bernie Bros is Bernie 2020 Field Organizer, Kyle Jurek? Run America! Run!

“There’s a reason Joseph Stalin had Gulags, right? And actually, Gulags are a lot better than what the CIA has told us they were…”

Like our prisons, in the United States right now, are far worse. Far worse than anything that they experienced in a f*cking Gulag. Like people get raped. People get f*cking, work 12 hours a day. People have to go fight fires in California for a dollar. You know what I mean? That’s f*cked up. that’s super f*cked up. Soviet Union didn’t do that sh*t.”

“Yeah, you’re not gonna get Bernie to say “Gulags” but like, I’m all aboard for Gulags, like, I feel there needs to re-education for a significant portion of our society…I mean, but running for president in the United States you can’t say anything like that right?”

“…Putting them up against a wall. I mean the alternative, instead of trying to like…re-educate these people and put them back into society the only option is, the only other alternative is to f*cking *makes shooting gesture/noise* you know what I mean?”

In other news, Trump officially broke the law.

Trump Broke The Law In Freezing Ukraine Funds, Watchdog Report Concludes https://www.npr.org/2020/01/16/796806517/trump-broke-the-law-in-freezing-ukraine-funds-watchdog-report-concludes?sc=18&f=1001

The GAO also released a report that determined Obama broke the law. Do you remember what happened? Nothing at all. The GAO is meaningless. The Democrats don't care about the GAO and the Republicans don't care about the GAO.

Oh?  What did Obama do?  ( I missed that report)

https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/215787-obama-rejects-report-that-bergdahl-swap-was-illegal

The GAO told Obama what he did was illegal and Obama responded by saying "no".
Ah.  So not even close to the same morality issue.
Ah so "officially breaking the law", at least according to the GAO, does not  automatically equate to a high crime and misdemeanor for which a president should be impeached.

Trump should kill Bernie and all of his supporters.

This is what trump supporters actually believe.

Trump supporters also believed that there really were enough burgers to make a stack a mile high, and that Conan the dog actually received the Medal of Honor and that Trump really has the body of Rocky Balboa. Good thing we have Junker types in the MSM to fact check for them.

Keep up the good work!
