The Greens are hardly extremist. Their stance just leans in the direction the powers that be would prefer it didn't.

But the Greens' views aren't very distant from the norm, at least in Australia. Somewhat deviant, yes; but not very distant.

They do mix and match, but generally even if you have one extreme view (no nuclear weapons and no nuclear power ever) then you are considered extremist.

I guess that's where "at least in Australia" comes in. "No nuclear power" is the norm here, and I'd say it's not a long way from that to "no nuclear weapons".
