EJ, I realise you're not the brightest bulb in the batch, but how can you call Mandela an African-American?! He never lived in the US! African, yes. African-American, no! I think, in fact, that your bulb is entirely dark.
Stop being so stupid. He says things like this on purpose and you fall for it every time.

Not yet, had it for a year now and still can't figure that out.

It's normally some combination of the power and volume buttons.
Or the lock and home button.

This seriously almost makes up for all the boys you've kissed.
It's wonderful, Balkno.

Whoa, you didn't have to quote me to thank "Balkno."
Yes I did cause I share the sentiment. It's not my fault people are posting on here like crazy and it was 2 pages back.

Suggestions & Concerns / Re: FES Video
« on: December 04, 2013, 11:19:26 PM »
What about a video version of a debunk of the Minute Physics video noobs like to post?
That could also work, but it should come after the initial video. The more videos the more traffic.

Suggestions & Concerns / FES Video
« on: December 04, 2013, 06:48:34 PM »
I'll get this rolling with its own thread. I suggested that if we want more traffic we should make a video that links back to this site and start posting it around.

So far we have Pizza Planet willing to edit the video.
Thork (or possibly Crudblud) can do the voice over.
And Spoon offered to provide background music.

Maybe we could work on the script together here. Now what kind of video should this be? Should this video describe the FES as a whole and the movement up until this point?

I thought this was a book thread.

Also, if people want more traffic then maybe we should make a video with the site's link and start posting it around. People could write up the script while someone else is the spokesman.

As long as other people are writing the words for him to say, I nominate Thork as the spokesperson.
British accents do add respectability.

Yeah, I don't think I'll play them and if I do I'm not worried about any spoilers.

Sanford's series is set in Minnesota.  Maybe it is the same one.  He has two series which intermingle based around Lucas Davenport and Virgil Flowers.
Sorry, I meant finishing as in writing his own books.

I'm going to pick up the latest Sanford novel for my parents for Christmas and then I'll subsequently borrow it from them sometime there after.  His books are the first serious cop drama in any format that I actually enjoy.  The bad guys in those books are usually pretty well developed and often disturbingly psychotic.
On a related note, my dad has finished or is close to finishing a cop drama set in the Midwest. He loves the genre and used to be an LA cop. Exciting.

Whelp, the ending to Pokemon Y was somewhat contrived and easy to see coming, but it did get to me. Now to play the real game on multiplayer, I guess. Also I caved and bought a link between worlds.
Yes, well it is a Pokemon game.

That doesn't make it a reboot.  The events of the first two games still happened, and the later games do occasionally refer to them.
Shh, it's a reboot. And I have no idea that it refers to them so it is basically a stand alone.

I would definitely be into a FES book club.

I recently read Cold Mountain. I think it captured the TN hills pretty well. It was like a Confederate soldier's Odyssey.

I play it as a reboot. I haven't played F1 or 2. People have told me not to bother.

No. I was playing Pokemon Pearl just a couple of months ago and gave up cause I hate grinding, I beat Pokemon Y without fainting once. Definitely not a kid vs. adult situation. The game is just too easy.

Or maybe you got better at selecting the correct option given four
Nah, I was playing Pokemon Pearl just a few months ago and I was having to grind my pokemon to level up since the Elites' pokemon were stronger than mine when I got to them.

Pokemon is so damn easy now. The singleplayer used to be a bit of a challenge when you hit a gym leader that countered your lineup or battled your rival in the late game. Now every gym leader has like 3 pokemon that I one shot, and my rival isn't any different. You'd also get stuck on certain puzzles in your journey that you had to figure out, now there's a ridiculous amount of hand holding.

The game looks great and plays well but it's disappointing that I have to go online to get a real challenge.
It is tons easier. The pokemon level up a lot faster and I didn't once faint during the league battles. Too easy really.
