Some of them are probably fake. Assuming they are, I imagine we could ask George Lucas about how Star Wars were made.

These campaigns are really boring now.

"Let's post a vague message somewhere, include some reasonably trivial puzzles to get people started, then some difficult/plainly impossible puzzles along the way, and we've got ourselves a 'viral' advertising campaign. Oh, and we need countdowns. Many countdowns."

It was a good idea at first, but we don't need it for literally every single big game.

Thank you. PP, close the threads once the work is done.  :D
Good point. Might as well.

I recall seeing a "LOL THIS IS WHAT THE WORLD WILL BE LIKE IN 2050 GUIZE" picture somewhere that featured delivery drones, but I don't think that was Amazon-specific.

I can't install mIRC because I'm missing "msvcp110.dll," whatever the fuck that is.
You'll need this: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679

Also HexChat is a pretty good IRC client imo.

I dunno, it could work. There are many obstacles to overcome, but it could work. And it would be glorious.

Should be easily doable. I'll confer with Parsifal when he's around, but mimeTeX seems like a good and quick-to-setup option.

EDIT:  The .org wiki now returns a 404 error.
Yeah. Based on my conversations with Daniel back when I was trying to relaunch the Wiki in 2011(?), he told me he doesn't care about the Wiki and that it can be my project if I want to. I'm guessing he cared so little that he forgot to even move it to the new server.

Luckily, we noticed in time and backed everything up when the old server was still running.

I've started up a History page for the wiki.  So far all that's on it is an overview of what was on Wikipedia, and there's a lot more to be added, so anyone that can contribute please do so.
I renamed that to Flat Earth Society instead, because we already have a couple of links to that in other pages. Might as well fill in a gap.

I honestly doubt we'll ever need income to run this site at all. Heck, I'm paying for a server identical to the one this forum is running on and I pretty much just use it to greet people. These things are pretty cheap, and there is free (gratis, lol) software out there that does pretty much everything we could possibly want to do better than paid-for stuff.

I find it laughable that any educated person could believe in atheism in the 21st century.  "Nothing came from nothing which exploded and randomly created self-replicating things that somehow created intelligent life, guys!"
I find it laughable that any educated person could be religious in the 21st century. "Nothing came from a giant can of beans which circles around Mars and is also invisible, but then that nothing exploded and created Barack Obama, guys!"

http://wiki.theflatearthsociety.sjm.so

This contains all pages and images from the .org version (which is currently dead, go figure). Users should be allowed to register freely. This may change in the future if people decide to be irresponsible about it.
