When you get down to it it seems that trigonometry is the bane of flat earth theory. All you need is a couple of friends on different parts of the world and a few $80 telescopes from Walmart and with trigonometry you can verify the shape of the Earth.

I think flat earthers should be putting a lot more work into attacking high school math.

I wouldn't try to measure the curve on land.  From where I stand the world is bowl shaped because I live in a valley. Instead go to your nearest lake, get a pole, stick it into the shore on one side. Look at it on the other side and see how much of it obscured.

This is... the most amazing thing I've seen this week.  I think we should all get together to encourage Initkam to start a Kickstarter making science textbooks.  Furthermore, based on the strength of this new science that Initkam has brought forth, we should all begin a letter writing campaign to persuade the future Trump-Palin administration to appoint Initkam as head of the National Science Foundation.
