Flamethrowers don't count as firearms
« on: August 03, 2015, 08:02:19 PM »
I found the most fascinating thing on Reddit today:

http://throwflame.com/products/

I can buy a flamethrower for $1600, no licensing required. Apparently flamethrowers are not regulated at all in the vast majority of the US and don't count as firearms, despite the fact that they shoot fire.

Can the British buy them? It would be a real upgrade in home security from penknives.

No, you'll just have to patiently wait in the "beheaded by muslims" queue like all your other UKadians.

But in the UK, those Muslims are only allowed to carry penknives. That's gonna be a monstrous and slow beheading. They need flamethrowers to burn us infidels properly.

Muslims have special Muslim law that is above UK law. You should really be more informed about this sort of thing, Thork.

And yet, as of last November in my state, a background check is now required for nail-guns that use .22 cal blanks to operate, boating flare guns, pvc tubes with a base attached for launching fireworks, and firearms.

That also includes handing one back and forth while target shooting, or become felons.

Flamethrowers don't exist
That's how far the horizon is, not how far you can see.
