Technology & Information / Re: Computers are a conspiracy
« on: December 13, 2015, 01:36:27 AM »
I'm curious - if CPUs are trapped souls, why do they keep getting faster and better at what they do with each new model? Also, how is a CPU different from a GPU?

Because life is moving faster every day, so the souls are faster.

And a GPU has an artist's soul in it.
You have to think like a CPU, if it running day after for years. Of course it will be faster at the end of all that running. It is no mistake that they continually get faster.

Philosophy, Religion & Society / Re: McDonalds all day bfast
« on: December 08, 2015, 10:45:03 PM »
I stopped in mcd a couple nights ago and ordered sausage biscuit, sausage well done. These are usually very tasty. However this time the sausage tasted like it was cooked with the burgers and was nasty, hash brown was old and cold.
They tried charging me over five dollars, I asked the girl why it was so much. She said nothing she can do about it. I ordered three 99 cent items. So manager came over and said it was correct price. So I cancelled the order and re-ordered the same items. The total was 3 something, which it should have been. I guess that is why my food was nasty.

He is crumbling. Most of his online haunts have either been deleted or highjacked from him. ProBoards will probably delete his forum in the next couple of months and Wordpress will probably follow.
Also goes by Eric Michael(s).
Speak on, what are you talking about.

Flat Earth Community / Re: What if I applied to become an astronaut?

NASA is accepting applications to be an astronaut.  What do you flat earthers think would happen if someone with all the qualifications applied?  How would they know that you wouldn't blow the whistle?
Are you a mason?

Flat Earth Theory / Re: This Made Me Say 'Hmm....' - Planetary Shapes
« on: November 28, 2015, 11:57:13 PM »
A question like this is really only a valid objection to FET if we rely on the presumption of RET that the earth is just one of many planets, and its structure and movement can be directly compared to these other planets.  As a planet, it fits into a certain mold, and so if we notice anything that seems to break the mold, we instinctively say, "Hey, that can't be right."  But FET doesn't rely on this presumption, and so to question the earth's characteristics based on comparisons to celestial bodies that it really has very little in common with is ultimately an arbitrary exercise.  The fact that the earth is unlike the planets is no more strange or unusual than the fact that it's different to stars, to moons, to comets, etc.

I have no idea how the universe was formed.  I'd be interested to see if anyone has any theories on that.
God forming the the universe is much more plausible than an explosion creating the earth.

Suggestions & Concerns / Re: lolwut/fe43.2 Ban
« on: November 08, 2015, 04:01:23 PM »
I don't want him banned. If he breaks rules, then that will take care of itself. I like to see the forum active, which is why I wish we could've kept characters like Yakkov and EJ around. I'm not a huge fan of pushing boundaries just for the hell of it, but such is life. We know what the spirit of this place is, and that's fairly loose and open. I'll admit maybe we weren't prepared for a hybrid troll, and I'm just as guilty of that as anyone. Banning people sucks, let's avoid it if we can.
EJ was a troll that I didn't mind, and actually liked him. Yakkov I didn't like. I never wanted either of them banned. Lol was just messing up the ability to even read or respond to threads, which was just being a dick. He seems to have stopped the wall of huge font posting for now which is good. Stupid and disruptive and two different things. Stupid I can deal and identify with. Disruption there is no need for.

Don't be a dick is a rule. Is it not?
He just spams the place up. Hardly anyone responds, or readsthem. Spamming with big fonts, just to be a dick, and making hard for people on phones to scroll through. He is being a dick in everybodies face and probably laughing his ass off that he isn't permaband. The large font bs is what gets me pissed more than the stupid threads.

Thork for mod! We need somebody with enough balls to ban those that are asking for it.

Since conspiracy theories belong here.... Do flat earthers generally agree that 9/11 was an inside job?  Is there any correlation between flat earth theory and 9/11 conspiracies?
Mosr FE's don't agree on 9/11 inside job. However it was an inside job. While checking out conspiracies I landed at TFES. FE is the grand daddy of conspiracies. :o

Those fe24.5 or whatever posts when just a pain in the ass. Hardly anyone was reading them. I am more oftenthan not on here on my phone, and it is hard to scroll through that stupid bs. I am glad he got banned. I normally read every thread, but those threads were just sinking to the bottom unread. The were not funny or entertaining in any way, just stupid and hard to scroll through.

You are handicapped by the fact you are facing a conspiracy so monstrous that you cannot believe it exists.

Read up on some of this stuff. Maybe some truth will penetrate your thinking.

That box is not a true vacuum, I saw a vid on the other site where near vacuum pressure inplodes a steel railroad tanker car. It just folded up like an accordian. There is no way that plexi box was a vacuum.
Railroad tanker cars are designed to resist the forces of their contents pressing outwards, not necessarily forces from the outside pressing inwards.
Irrelevant. What is a home made plexiglass box designed for?

How many people are not banned on his forum? While you were there, what was his reason for banning all those people?

Rockets work just fine in space,  it's just simply conservation of momentum.

http://www.discovery.com/tv-shows/mythbusters/videos/its-rocket-science/

Thank you for that link. I agree that it appears that the rocket did work in a vacuum. However, on reassessment of the idea, I do not think a relatively small vaccum chamber would be an appropriate test of this theory.

The author of the video would assert that rather that, rather than the atmosphere, the bottle rocket is pushing off of the pixiglass door behind the rocket in this experiment, and his theory holds.

Tom, there was discussion on the other site about this subject. A rocket is actually pushing on the atmosphere to move. I don't think it would work in space. How is rocket exhaust making an equal and opposite reaction with the rocket nozzle while still inside the nozzle. That would be similar to you pushing yourself off of a chair, by pushing your arm against your leg. It is not going to move you.

The police have the authority to do that here in America too. The probable cause clause can include pretty much anything, apparently. Even standing by your car in front of your own house, on your phone, in broad daylight warrants an ID check. At least, that's what happened to me once.
That should not happen to white people.

Flat Earth Theory / Re: What difference does it make?

Can somebody explain why a "theory of gravity" even matters?

What difference does it make?  Who needs it??
You need gravity, to keep the lie of a spherical earth.
