Dither, put a bloody hat with corks on your avatar or stop talking like a southern Baptist.

The problem with guns is that they are too damn effective, society needs a return to knives and swords.
Just imagine trying to kill fifty innocent people with a cutlass, you'd definately work up a sweat.
Not to mention having to chase them all down because nobody's gonna stand in one spot and wait.

Plus, it may take a few shooting range lessons to get some rough accuracy on a handgun.
But how many years will it take to learn to yield a scimitar? or brace a broadsword?
So I agree with you Jura, guns should be banned because its just too easy,
But now we have them, and that door can never be shut.

Flat Earth Theory / Re: New here. How do you explain this?
« on: November 17, 2017, 10:49:48 PM »
How do you explain NASAs live feed from space which clearly shows curvature?

If I give you say 20 billion dollars (give or take a few hundred mill) do you think you could knock me up something that looks like a satelite is orbiting the earth in real time? Should be pretty doable...

http://spacenews.com/nasa-receives-more-than-19-6-billion-in-2017-omnibus-spending-bill/

And its what the Astronauts are "not" saying, that indicates where the truth lies.

1. Vaccines are bad - No your wrong, Vaccines are good, Autism is the next step in mans evolution.
2. 911 was an inside job - No it wasn't, all buildings have explosive charges in them in case of plane strike.
3. Princess Diana was murdered - Murdered is such a strong term, conveniently dealt with is better.

On all these points 911 has the most evidence, not so sure of the autism link, vaccines save lives too.
And the Princess may have survived that accident if only she remembered to click clack, front and back.

Flat Earth Community / Re: The Need To Believe In A Flat Earth

IMHO - I believe the FE society, though refreshingly they do not throw it in our faces, 'need' to have a flat earth because of the misconception that the Bible supposedly implies it.

Except that nearly all of the regular FEers on this site do not describe themselves as bible beliving Christians.
However, you have done a good job of describing my personal FE position but I'm in the minority on here.

As a reformed skydiver

Was skydiving affecting your ability to function in society?

But seriously, skydiving looks awesome, I once saw an old clip where an army skydiver cut another mans legs off with his arm when they hit during free fall, the legless man survived and the armless man died. I've always wanted to do a tandem jump but yeah, people die occasionally, in fact, three skydivers died here last month.

Sorry for being a tad off topic, I think the lens thing is answered quite well.

If you press a lot of so called Athiests, you will find that they are nominally Agnostic anyway. People don't understand the full implications of the term Athiest, its more like "I don't like like organised religion much so yeah, I'm an Athiest." Now we do have some real Athiests on here, and maybe even some FE Athiests. But just saying, "I'm an Athiest" and not knowing anything about your chosen philosophical worldview is no different to saying "I'm a Christian" or "I'm a Hare Krishna" or "I'm a White Rabbit" if you never bother to go to church, read a bible, eat vegetarian and hand out stickers, or hop up and down in a field. People are often inconsistent with what they believe and some just say stuff without even thinking.

Something should be done to reduce the amount of RE'er spam.

I think we should have a thread for true believers where us FEers can relax a bit and discuss models without constant harassment, If an RE wishes to join the thread they can ask permission and come in and as long as they treat it as if they are a hypothetical Flat Earther they should be allowed to contribute also. I know this sounds a bit strange but its kind of already happening when the REers answer for us when we are absent from the conversation or just can't be bothered.

This is just so tragic, what kind of a person shoots a five year old child.
And in this case, the gun laws may have prevented an even worse atrocity by cutting short this nutjobs  rampage.

QUOTE:
A DPS official said in the press conference that the gunman was confronted by an armed civilian outside of the church.

I watched a 4hr documentary of measurements of anchient sites and their relatively to others,

Welcome to the forum Falconwarrior :)
It looks like douglips has found it for you,

It takes a while to work out who's who on here, and not everyone is a FEer.
So most of the responsers you will get will be from REers, (just sayin)

Which puts the sausage factory/fangita party ratio at 100:0.

I know 2 for sure are women, and are active on the forum, and I'm sure there's more than that.

If you read back through the old threads you can find things out, nobodies really hiding, but why should they tell us newbies anything (I'm including myself here) when we haven't established any relationships with anyone other than "I say, You say" Some of the members on here have supported the site with more than words and others have a history with the other forum going back to when it split. So yes DA, this isn't just a boys club, there are all ages on here, (I'm 53) young and old, women and men, but yeah, maybe a few more men.

Great answer EJ.

Charles and Majorey were real FE heros, very sad and suspicious how their house burnt down.

I know we have a few ladies on this forum but if a person doesn't specify if they are male or female when they sign up, then I guess they may not want everyone to know. This is a public forum and its a tad controversial as well, so not everybody wants to be identified and I can't blame them for thinking that way.

There are plenty of women involved in FET, some are vocal, some are not.
If you have a look at the various meet ups and read the youtube comments you will find its quite high.

Maybe theres another explanation and its related to religion

Yes and thats been suggested plenty of times as well.

This would have to be one of the most asked questions we get on here. (Maybe twice a week)
I've thrown in my two cents on this so many times I must be up to a dollar by now.
I hate to think how much money the regulars have, including the RE's.

The real question is, Is it even possible to pull off something this big?
And the answer to that is, If you believe the earth is flat, then it has to be, doesn't it.

And yes I think the Devils involved somehow, and thinking that places me in the minority.  ::)

I remember when my parents first told me that the earth was flat, I didn’t believe them.

When was that exactly,,,   2016?
My mum did tell me about God and that lead me to finding out some lies.

Anyway,
You should tell your son that you now believe the earth is flat and also to be careful whom he shares this information with as it brings ridicule. School is difficult enough without being branded a Flatard. Also, this problem is not new, many Christians homeschool their kids already because of godless evolution and now we have gender neutral ideology and all the stuff that comes with that so Springsteen's mates can feel safe going to the toilet. The whole school system is shot and ordinary people are rejecting it in droves.

My awesome childhood memories include having old school parents who weren't afraid to ply their kids with rum when they were sick.

Hot Toddy (best drink ever)

I enjoy debating and learning people's points of view

Is this the reason you decided to join TFES?

I'm here because I can't alligne myself with the racist anti semetic views that are held by nearly all the other flat earth sites, that really was my only mantra "How do I avoid these dudes and their racist philosophy'"
To be fair I did eventually find one other safe site but thats basically it.

So yeah,,,
If you are an ordinary person who believes that the earth is flat, then this forum is a safe harbour in a sea of sharks because it really is a jungle out there, (or an ocean, or whatever, mixing up metaphors now)

Nearly forgot:

And I really like the wiki here and think it is a great introduction to FET.
I have shown it to people who are interested in getting a quick rundown,
Thanks to the Information Age, we have an attention span of around three minutes,
So you need to keep things brief and to the point, and it does that perfectly.

What was I saying again  :P
