Round one has been dope.
LOL Bruins.
Fuck the refs.
Bettman in shambles.
Fuck ticketmaster and resellers.
Lots of good NHL buzz right now. …Lots of bad too.
This years trade deadline action could go down as most impactful ever?

Gary, is there a way to display the WPA vs EPA data by week? Might have to be broken down by division or something for the sake of displaying it, but it’d be cool to see the season-long progression, with teams either adapting to new schemes, dealing with injury or trades, variation is strength of schedule.

I don’t know if those data lend themselves well to adding a temporal component, just think it’d be cool

I never read the source material (except for the hobbit which I read as a kid), but fell in love with the franchise because of Jackson’s trilogy, which was released at a prime time for me, just going into high school.

I enjoyed seeing the characters referenced in some of the original movies, and learning more about how things developed prior to LoTR. The pacing was definitely a bit off, but I think a lot of that is a consequence of how modern series are portrayed, since you seemingly need to have a cliff hanger at the end of Every. Single. Episode. I didn’t really have a problem with the four isolated stories - to me it actually kind of reinforces the vastness of Tolkien’s middle earth, and the importance of everyone’s individual journeys.

I thought the finale was the primary let down of the series. It really felt like in many ways it delegitimized all the episodes into what now fees more like just an extended trailer for season 2.

Galadriel just felt a bit off to me throughout and I don’t really know why. But I feel like Honk’s detective analogy hits home.

All in all, it was enjoyable, it just feels incomplete.

Now you just have to play the fun game of putting arrows to show where you think those surprising teams are heading ROS.

Detroit is heading straight right if they get their offensive stars back.

Same for Miami, assuming Tua can stay healthy

I have no idea where Washington is heading.

Have to expect SF to make a big shift towards good once the D gets healthy again and Jimmy starts throwing dump offs to CMC.

Denver’s offense can’t stay this bad, even with Javonte out. But I wouldn’t be pissed if they did and the hawks end up with another top 5 pick out of this.

The primary peak sitting at ~ -0.75 EPA seemed a bit weird that it was so consistent, but I’m neither a stats guy nor an advanced analytics guru (more of an idiot-savant).

I don’t know whether I was reading them right or not, and it would be hard to tell what one meant on its own, without being attached to a team where I can compared stats and ‘eye-test’ results… but qualitatively, I think there’s some reasonable and meaningful trends sitting on that plot.

At the very least, it looks pretty cool as is, and ya gotta be happy with KC on top

Where did you find this? That’s a cool visual.

I don’t fully know how to read the details out of it, but it seems to show Jaylen actually has progressed into an elite big play QB and makes this year’s QB chaos pop out. All those back-ups and journeymen seem to be doing well - Mariota, Geno looking good, then I don’t know what to make of the double peaks on TEN and MIN

That meme sold me. Team Bear now! No one who has to ask for help can possibly win, nor could they be in the right.

he's into the Germans for a third of a billion dollars. But they weren't totally stupid, they have the pink slip to Mar-A-Lago as collateral.

Can’t wait til they take over ... do you think they could pull off a re-brand though? Meer zu see doesn’t quite roll off the tongue…

Seabirds - donkeys MNF match was a delightful mess. Pure delicious irony to that finish.  Will likely be our only win for the next little bit

Seems like NG just came along to film it, and weren't responsible for protocol or method

Sure but if they film, edit, produce, release, and promote it - the blame for the content is theirs to share.

I feel her love this day, as I did on my first day, as I will all my days.

She’ll be missed. Despite what I think of royalty in general and their uselessness in modern society, she’s always seemed like a pretty nice lady.

A lot of money is about to look different. Yuck.
