what is the meaning of life the universe and everything?
I though this site was for people who belive the earth is flat! This is a site for FE believers, but RE believers come here too, mainly to try and prove the RE.
a flat earth moving at relativistic speeds will never be moving "straight up". Its motion will be hyperbolic, so any accelerating force from underneath would have to be constantly shifting its trajectory to keep the surface at right anglesNonono, the whole point of having a rocket in the center is that if the FE tilts, the rocket tilts with it. Of course, there is still the notion of fuel (fusion might be viable, as it wasn't made by humans), along with the fact that it has never been detected, ever, in the history of humans.
How about this: how do you KNOW your airbag works? Do you go out and crash your car to see if they activate? Or do you just trust that the company that could lose everything if something happened to you would try to keep you safe? There are a myriad of things that you take for granted, every day of your life, without checking them for yourself.I'm very sorry for you and your lifestyle choices. Many people choose not to settle on such a shallow level of understanding of the world among them, and you shouldn't discourage them just because you're content with a different lifestyle.
To entertain your lumberjack analogy - it's perfectly possible to accept that we don't care about a declarative statement without assuming that it's true. If you choose to believe everything that someone tells you just because the outcome doesn't matter to you, you're gonna find yourself believing a lot of crap.
