A shitty idea, with even shittier execution. I suggest y'all just wrap it up and call it a day.

Even if we assume for the moment that all drugs are bad for you, why does that mean they should be illegal? Eating McDonald's is pretty bad for you, should we outlaw fast food?

Does McDonald's impair your ability to operate dangerous machinery?
Yes. Have you tried eating while driving?

There have been plenty of studies about hugh fat, high sugar, high salt diets and MacDonald's definitely qualifies as that.

The other factor is that you can eat McDonalds recreationally but not all the time and have no ill effects, not quite the same with drugs.
I disagree.

I'll back off my 'maybe the greatest defense ever' comment and settle in at 'top 5 pass defense ever.'

http://www.footballperspective.com/new-york-times-post-week-15-2013/
Quote
The league average Adjusted Net Yards per Attempt this season is 5.97, which would also be an N.F.L. record. (The previous high was 5.93, set last season.) The Seahawks have allowed just 3.40 ANY/A, easily the best in the league (San Francisco and Carolina are second and third at 4.62 and 4.73). But since the ANY/A league average has been rising for years, we cannot just compare Seattle to teams of yesteryear. We also need to measure how far from the league average each pass defense has performed.

The simplest way to measure deviation from the average is to measure the standard deviation among all pass defenses in the N.F.L. In 2013, the standard deviation of the ANY/A ratings of the 32 teams is 0.93. As a result, Seattleā€™s pass defense is 2.76 standard deviations above the 2013 mean of 5.97. If the Seahawks can maintain that level of dominance, it will rank as the fourth best season since 1970.

By this method, the top pass defense was fielded by Tampa Bay in 2002, the year the Buccaneers won the Super Bowl. In 2002, Tampa Bay allowed 2.34 Adjusted Net Yards per Attempt; that season, the league average was 5.35 and the standard deviation was again 0.93. As a result, the Tampa Bay pass defense was 3.22 standard deviations better than average. In the postseason, the Buccaneers allowed just three touchdowns while scoring four touchdowns on interception returns.
Huh, that is pretty damn convincing. But if this Seahawks D is going to be remembered as one of the best ever (and it is obviously quite good) it's going to have to dominate the playoffs and win the Superbowl. It may not be fair, but that's one of the keys to leaving a legacy on defense (76 Steelers, 85 Bears, 00 Ravens, 02 Bucs)

And, looking at their schedule, the only great offense they beat was the Saints (in impressive fashion). If they can maintain passing defensive dominance against Brady or Manning (Or a healthy Rodgers), then I'll consider them an all-time great passing D.

Sean, you should watch "Brady 6", if you haven't already. It's probably on Youtube.

Woe betide those who think they can shut down Marshawn Lynch.  The guy can move a pile like no one else.

Just not against a healthy SF font four.
Don't the Niners run a 3-4? Regardless, as much I love Lynch, the elite front sevens in the league (49'ers, Panthers, Chiefs) can still shut him if they are willing to sell out to the pass a bit more. Lynch isn't AP, he can't handle 8 man boxes.

The Seahawks are hardly a lock for the Superbowl, even with home field advantage. I'd expect the Panthers do beat them, to be honest.

In Seattle?  How could you expect that? Seattle has not lost at home in almost 2 seasons. It's one of the toughest stadiums to play in and Seattle is on a roll right now.
The Panthers match-up really well with the Seahawks. The Seahawks struggled beating the Panthers early in the season, and since then the Panthers have started played better football and replaced Ron Rivera with Riverboat Ron, the risk-taking analytical gambler of a coach. The Panthers Defensive Front Seven will shut down Lynch and get pressure on Wilson. The offense can run the ball, which keeps it away from the Seahawks secondary. And Steve Smith is the only WR that can out shit-talk Richard Sherman, and that's gotta count for something.

There's too much focus on making FES a fair, accountable democracy. It's not a democracy, and never has been. It's always been decided by the whims of our (ranging from benevolent to apathetic) administrators. I don't like all this talk of rights and nonsense.

Fucking kickers winning games. Damn impressive. I seem to remember some individual players have extraordinary runs (Ray Rice converting 4th & 29 to beat the Chargers and make the playoffs, Jacoby Jones and Joe Flacco going HAM in the playoffs) for the Ravens last year. Calling it now.

Ravens Superbowl Champs

Not only do I think this council thing is a stupid idea, I protest the fact there is no section for write-in candidates.

I also disagree with how this election is being run, as well as the lack of oversight. I also suspect Thork of stuffing the ballots.

That is because earth is the only known celestel bodey having the nesesarey conditions to suport life. Evidance seems to suport gravitey
Frankly, I don't know what you're trying to say most the time. Please take time to edit your comments for spelling and basic grammar mistakes before posting. Based on my rough translation of your writings, the point is that the Earth is clearly unique. Hence, I don't wish to assume the Earth exhibits gravitation without clear evidence.

Its called gravitey
Can you show evidence of "gravitey"?

In light of Rooster's recent thread in S & C, I wanted to have a general conversation about the behavior of mods.  I have always felt that a moderator should be setting an example for the other posters on the site.  They ostensibly exist not only to enforce the rules, but also to be the mediator between the administrators rules and the people who post.  As such, I feel their understanding and application of the rules should be of a greater magnitude than anyone on the site.  I definitely believe that you cannot ask someone to respect rules you yourself do not obey, but this belief is obviously not ubiquitous and I wanted to know what the feelings on the site are towards possibly creating a moderator's code of conduct?
Some bitches need to relax. This is a forum about the Earth being flat. Chill the fuck out, it's not srs bzns. The mods should be able to post however they want: I don't want them to stifle their posting because someone might get butthurt at a comment. If the moderators are actually making the site shittier, like banning legitimate users, moving funny awesome posts by a very sexy celebrity to CN, or going full Hara, then we can bitch about it. Until then, accept that FES isn't filtered through your personal social and cultural lenses before being presented to you. Some people will say some things you don't agree with, and it's okay if that happens. Hell, you're even allowed to respond to it.

To be honest, I thought you guys were adopting an overly critical snobbishness when it came to the fourth season. I mean, people complained about a drop in quality with the third season, and I found it to be neglibile. I did not believe Community could ever possibly get as bad as everyone was claiming.

Having finally watched it, I can say that, if anything, you were all far too lenient. I do not have high hopes for what is to come next; the series has been permanently marred and is probably beyond recovery.
I just gave up hope and quit watching most the fourth season. I know they're trying to make the fifth season a "new" starting point, in the sense that you can jump in and watch it from that point forward and it'll still make sense. In my mind, the fifth season is the fourth season and the fourth season didn't happen.

What is your proof of UA?
Go stand on a chair, and then jump off of it.

And that wouldnt make sense for other planets to have gravitation while earth doesnt.
And that wouldn't make sense for only Earth to have life on it, but all the evidence thus far indicates it is.

No. Ryan Mallett is good.
I doubt it. He has no body of pro work besides a few preseason games, and no one has been willing to trade anything significant for him. Why do you think he's good besides blind Boston homerism?

except that with smoking weed, you are pretty much either sober or wasted.
Based on my extensive research, this is not true.

But yes, there is no valid reason for drugs to be illegal for adults.
