Flat Earth Community / Definition of a Shill
« on: June 20, 2017, 12:22:47 AM »
Just asking what everyone's definition of a Shill is,

Is it ?

1. A person posing as a Round Earther who actually knows the world is flat.
2. A person posing as a Flat Earther who thinks the world is round.
3. A person posing as a Flat Earther who knows the world is flat but is undermining the movement.

Have I missed any?

Flat Earth Community / Re: What convinced you that the Earth is flat?
« on: June 19, 2017, 12:34:25 AM »
For me, I was on YouTube. I saw one of those "FLAT EARTH PROVEN 2017" videos, and I thought it would be stupid. To my surprise, it made a lot of sense, so I did more research on the topic, and that brought me here.

Ditto,

When I was eight years old I was told that the stars are mini suns all with other galaxies surrounding them.
I remember being sceptical about it, so for myself, it was the understanding that stars are lights that clinched it.
After that, NASA's air bubbles, wires and blue screen and also the perspective argument.
The bible being clearly Geocentric is another big clue as I am a Christian.

Thank you for this Louise  :)
Great work.

I think there's a small spelling error on the last pdf.
"Don't accept what you are being toll,"

Could be my eyes though...

It's a boring 4chan ARG. Valve does them better.

Ahhh,
Thanks for that,

Checking out valve arg website,
Another excuse to waste more time on the internet solving randomly pointless puzzles.
I really need to quit my day job and do this full time, like Bruno did, (loving his room dec's)

Anyone here interested in Cicada 3301 ?

For those who don't know here's a quick history lesson.

And here's the latest 2017 solved clues suggesting it may be the return of the Knights Templar.

Whatever it is, I find it incredibly interesting and I often read the forums on it. (Usually after the fact)
Anyone have any ideas on it? Do you think its Wikileaks or is that too obvious?

Thanks everyone :)

Philosophy, Religion & Society / Re: No Religion= Peace
« on: June 18, 2017, 08:11:43 AM »
If we go back the moment humans were created on this earth, and take away every religion, there will be world peace...

There was no religion before the fall of man, there was only direct communion with God. (Adam walked with God in the garden of Eden) After the Fall of Adam, we lost direct communion with God through our sin.

With or without religion, the world is still at enmity with God. We will still kill each other and have wars and maybe actually be worse off, However, a Christian understands that religion does not save anyone, The theif on the cross never made it to church. Faith and obedience in Christ is all thats required and yes, you can kind of call that faith religion if it floats your boat.

Flat Earth Community / Re: Round vs. Flat

The reactions to FET on this forum are common with the ones you get when you tell people directly.
Mostly its utter disbelief that a person could even suggest such a thing.

Coming from a Christian perspective regarding FET, these reactions are similar to street evangelism reactions.
Atheists love an argument and will follow you around to debate and heckle you.
They are serious about their beliefs (athiests) and they regard ignorance as dangerous for society.
I have also seen athiests defend Christians from drunks and aggressive people while doing street evangelism.
Again, they are compelled to debate and defend their view, they want to argue the point, not fight.

Your Father is wise to have seen through the deception of the Gobalists.
I believe FET is more evidence of God's creation so please don't forget you also have a Heavenly Father.
Again, I'm coming from a Christian Perspective so you can't expect me to say anything else.
Congratulations on looking at the issues with an open mind  :)

People won't believe just a map. That's why I want somebody to travel to the edge and filming it. If they can see a physical edge, then they'll believe. If enough people get a kickstarter together, then people will wake up.

You better take a small army with you and be prepared for a fight to the death.
Don't forget the UN's so called Antartica Treaty is there to stop anyone and everyone.
Other solo explorers have died there recently, Just be careful what you wish for.

Their respective  Youtube channels are great of you are a geek.

I love watching their youtube channels,
Adams walking spider and Jamie's flying chain saw (that didn't quite work out)
Love it when they test new things like the remote drones, just excellent. +++

Apologies for derailing the thread somewhat   ::)

Why don't we raise money to  send some of our respected people on a filmed trip to the ice wall.

Many so called respected people know exactly whats going on.
Take Mythbusters for example, you cannot trust them to be objective.
(But I still really like those guys, one of my favorite shows)

I think Billboards are a good idea, "Research Flat Earth" there is enough material online.
People can do their own research, at least for the moment they can.
Truth will either win or be suppressed, and its not being suppressed right now.

Just wondering why we see no curvature of the horizon from left to right?

I think we both know why  ;)

This board is open to both FE's and RE's so you should expect responses from both sides.

Every week I go to the top of Point Danger in Coolangatta and look out over the flat horizon.
I also note how close the sun appears and how it leaves a hotspot on the surface of the ocean.
These are things I never questioned before, now I see with a different perspective.
You would think it would be easy to get someone to see it this way but no, no, no.

Quite amazing really, how no one questions or even cares.

is this a fair debate site? its just i find a lot of places just have a lot of abuse

Hi JPS

It's a great site, well moderated, even the roundies are alright.
Its not as random as the other forum site of the same name,
No matter where you go, you get abusive newbies coming in with attitudes.
They get tagged pretty quick in here and shut down (even by the regular roundies)

I haven't been around all that long but I like it here.
I'm coming from a Biblical FE Position and I recognise most are not.
I'm also aware when I'm out of my depth which is most of the time,
So I'm still in the process of learning and reading the early FE material.
At the moment I'm going through Terra Firma earth not a globe.

Anyway,
Ketchup...  :)

Flat Earth Theory / Re: The Dome
« on: June 08, 2017, 09:57:52 PM »
As far as I am aware the bible just says that there is a firmament of some type over the earth. I do not believe that it describes a dome specifically.

In Genesis Chapter One the Bible describes waters being divided above and below the earth.
Its true it doesn't specifically say "Dome" but it does say there is water up there.
Some may suggest that the waters collapsed during the Deluge when the windows of heaven were opened.
However, the Bible speaks of the possibility of windows still being opened after the Deluge.

Interestingly, the Genesis account does not work with a round earth model and the Bible goes out of its way to suggest the earth is flat but try telling any of this to most Christians and you'll be considered a heretic.

Thanks for the links also :)

I would love to go, and also just to talk to some of them after the lectures.

I probably have more in common with some of the speakers as I'm coming from a religious faith.
But its too far to travel for me, thousands of dollars in airfares for just two days.
Hopefully someone from FES will get there and give us all a report..

Flat Earth Theory / Re: Two sticks equal shadow argument?
« on: June 08, 2017, 06:09:49 AM »
If the world had been flat, then two sticks in different locations would produce the same shadow:

Why do you say that?

The shadow effect works just as well on a Flat Earth, take a torch and hold it up in the air, now get some matchsticks and walk around in a sand pit, the shadows will depend on where the torch light is focused, they won't all be uniform or produce the same shadow effect. The torch, like the sun, is a lot closer than we are led to believe.

He became a Christian later in life, its a good quote for a Rocket Scientist.

I do believe he also left it as a clue, anything more might have gotten his family into trouble.
Once you learn certain secrets about the world, there's no way to unlearn them.

Just like the Neil Armstrong quote below, a little hint to ease the conscience perhaps.

QUOTE:
"Wilbur Wright once noted that the only bird that could talk was the parrot, and he didn't fly very well."

Nobody ever told you there was an alternative to GEOCENTRIC?!?!  What the hell kind of schools did you attend?

Ha ha ha  :D

I was refering to the Geocentric models used in the Christian Forums I was involved with.
I believed the Geocentric Round Earth model before becoming Flat Earth. (That's all)
The Bible speaks of the earth as being fixed and immovable, I believe that to be true.
I don't know why more Roundy Geo's don't move to FET but they hate us just as much as everyone else does.
In fact, they are much more stubborn than your average joe, so there's no love lost there believe me.

Mr T is having a lot of fun as the new CEO of the world, cut him a bit of slack.
Gotta love a man who enjoys himself so much, you can't wipe the smile off his face.
Doesn't even break a sweat when the Pope rejects his secret Masonic handshake.

The mans got rhino hide, He's in ya face, Trump is that bloke who gate crashes your party and announces,
"I'm going to Jail tomorrow, anyone wanna join me?" Forces all the guests into survival mode.
Trump will singlehandedly bring about World Peace just by hangin' out with everyone.
Nothing dangerous will happen as long as Trumps around, even the army are like "shhhh, here he comes"

Rounder has provided a balanced mathmatical answer, your mission now is to choose to believe it,
For myself, thats a mission impossible, an elaborate hoax designed to fool the masses.
