Warnings
« on: August 02, 2018, 04:08:42 PM »
I've just realised that there's three warnings in my messages from the beginning of June, but there's no indication which threads or posts they relate to.

How am I supposed to know what I've been warned for?

We normally issue two notifications - one via PM which follows a fairly generic template, and one via a direct response to the offending post.

The PMs are generally not the "main" notification, but are rather meant to ensure that you realise quickly that a warning has been issued. Given that it's taken you two months, perhaps this approach needs reviewing. I've recently taken to linking the offending post within the PM to make things easier - but that doesn't solve the problem of a user who failed to notice warnings from late March-early June until the 2nd of August

I've had little difficulty finding your four most recent warnings (looks like junker forgot to send the PM on one occasion):

I would, however, note that you replied to junker's warnings in March - this leads me to believe that you did know about them.

If the warning after the post is included in a sub-section of a thread which a mod has moved from the upper fora to AR or CN, as I've recently been subject of, it's even less likely to be noticed ...

Hence the PM. If you never read your replies and messages, then there is very little we can do to help.

There are tools available to you which could help. You can, for example, opt to receive e-mails or pop-up notifications when someone PMs you. But we can't take responsibility for your failure to read notifications, sorry.

In any case, you're one of very few individuals who failed to sort themselves out after their first warning (which, in your case, you have seen and replied to). I see no cause for alarm.
