What happens if the ice wall melts?
« on: November 17, 2020, 12:10:27 PM »
I'm new to the flat earth theory, I'm wondering what were to happen if the ice wall were to melt from global warming, or if a machine were to break it, would it be like a dam breaking? Would it cause a tsunami?

From the FAQ (please read it!):

The Earth is surrounded on all sides by an ice wall that holds the oceans back. This ice wall is what explorers have named Antarctica. Beyond the ice wall is a topic of great interest to the Flat Earth Society. To our knowledge, no one has been very far past the ice wall and returned to tell of their journey. What we do know is that it encircles the earth and serves to hold in our oceans and helps protect us from whatever lies beyond.

Given that what lies beyond the Ice Wall is unknown, it would be unreasonable to speculate as to what would happen. However, it's worth noting that Antarctica is not a literal ice cube - its rock formations won't be melting any time soon, and if they are, we've got bigger problems.

How thick is the earth?

How thick is the earth from one side of the crust to the bottom, found you drill through, what would happen if you did?

Could a plane or rocket fly over the ice wall?

What do you think is on the other side?

Right, you're posting quite a few basic questions, and you're making each of them a separate thread. I'm going to have to ask you to stop doing that and read some of our introductory resources. Please also read the sticky threads in each board before posting in them.
