Title: Is/Was Neozeteticism a Religious Movement?
Post by: Alchemist21 on January 17, 2014, 05:50:29 PM
I just noticed this statement today in the wiki FAQ and wasn't too sure about it's accuracy.

Quote
There is however a religious movement founded by one of our theorists John Davis known as neozeteticism.

Is this legitimate content or did someone screw with the wiki?

John Davis is a loony bird.  Why do you people follow him like puppies?  Grow a mind and think for yourselves.  He is not a god or a prophet.

We don't follow him. He's on the other site.

I suspect he has been tinkering with the wiki himself. He had zero followers for that ridiculous idea. I think he wanted to set up a cult so he could get his hands on some virgins.

Maybe the cult was a tax scheme.  I don't know.

John Davis drinks. He's better avoided.

Just keep asking questions. Eventually you'll realise you've been so wrong for so long. the earth is flat, but it will take a while before you accept it.

1.Denial
2.Anger
3.Bargaining
4.Depression
5.Acceptance.

You are between stages 1 & 2 right now. Markjo has been stuck on stage 4 for a very long time. It makes him an insufferable pain in the arse.

Why do you pick on Markjo so much?  You seem to have some kind of a complex.

He has been following the Flat Earth Society yelling "the earth is round!" on our forums for 7 years.

You can understand why we are all a bit sick of him. He has made almost 30,000 dull posts on the other site. I'd like to reach through my monitor, grab him by his piss-stained anorak and headbutt him.

Anyway, welcome to the flat earth society! :D

Well, he is like me.  We don't like it when you people lie to us, and we get offensive.  You do the same.

You are taking this way too personally. This is the flat earth society. The least you can expect is that people here think the earth is flat. If we said we are the flat earth society and all claimed the earth to be round, then you could accuse us of lying.

You just twist everybody's word and make them look dumb.  You are an ass.

I agree that we shouldn't include a reference to that based on what really just comes down to a few passing comments from John.  If something actually comes of it, then maybe we can revisit the subject, but for now, there's nothing concrete.

Agreed. The offending phrase has been deleted.
