If you are going to DebOOonK an expert then you have to at least provide a source with credentials of equal or greater relevance. Even then, it merely shows that some experts disagree with each other.

It is hardly new lord dave.

People have been doing that and putting ashes into fireworks and I even saw a family turn their relative into energy, store him on a battery and powered a little light bulb in some kind of memorial thing.

This story seems to pop up every few months or so. It's not something I'd ever want to do (I'd feel strange with a family member hanging on my finger or around my neck), but if it helps people with closure or remembering their loved ones, right on.
You don't think I'm going to post here sober, do you?  ???

I have embraced my Benny Franko side. I'm sleazy.

It was in America somewhere. They are a very strange nation.

It could be worse. In Vienna a crematorium uses the power to heat their offices.

Another has approval to use the power to heat the local pool.

I can just see it. Mmmm, getting cold in here. Chuck another corpse on the fire.

That sounds preferable to having the energy go to waste.

Yeah, I'm really not too disturbed by the idea.

But you're a sicko. I think most people would be pretty unhappy that grandma is being melted to keep a radiator warm.

But Grandma would want me to be warm.  Why else would she send sweaters every Christmas?  :'(
I don't even care to find out what you're doing wrong, but I'm sure you're doing something wrong.

Would they prefer zombie grandma instead?

She's already dead. Her body means nothing. And I think it would be kinda neat if my body were used as energy.

I still think the "turn body into tree" thing is the best so far. Aside from the inevitable emotional impact if the tree dies, has to be removed, etc..

They come with pine trees, but I'd rather be an oak tree. Oak trees are cool.

How medieval this would be if they had entire graveyards like this.

"The Forest of the Dead" sounds like some location straight out of an RPG.

But why? It's just a body at that point. There is nothing to be gained from keeping a corpse around or just chucking it in the ground in a wooden box. I'd rather I was actually useful post-death than not.
