Dear Flat Earther,

Here we are again, changing our plans and asking for help to fill in a survey for our school project. We are four students doing our bachelors in cultural anthropology at Utrecht University, the Netherlands. In one of our courses, we examine the globalised world through online communities. We are researching the online Flat Earth society, specifically how the community helps you to maintain the theory of the flat earth. We made a survey to get some insight in your world. Would you maybe have the time to fill in this survey? You would help us a lot!

There's little theory involved in FE. Observing the world as it is in accordance with the scientific method is a sounder way of going about things. It's this unnecessary belief in a globe that relies on theory not the other way around.
