I'm just not seeing the right kind of Dad Rock here. I've listened to most of these now and where's the Led Zeppelin, Nivana, Thunder, even bon jovi. This stuff is shit dad rock. You can do better. >:(

One of my first introductions into dad rock (I was a huge dad rock fan in middle school, I wish I still had my Motley Crue and Van Halen t-shirts). Anyway, I still love this song.


But my ultimate favorite is Styx, I still listen to them all the time (in the closet of course). They got me through middle and high school. I've seen them twice in concert and they might be my favorite band of all time after Muse.. but they carry more nostalgia so I'm not sure who would win that fight.
