Title: Crepuscular Rays - they don’t converge but are parallel - easy to prove!
Post by: Bishthebosh on February 02, 2019, 07:10:10 PM
I’ve seen several claims that crepuscular rays ‘prove’ a local sun. FE folk saying that this is really obvious and anyone who denies it is stupid and doesn’t understand basic maths.

Have a look at this nicely put together short video that explains the perspective that accounts for what our eyes see when looking at sun rays:

With warm regards to all folks who believe in a flat Earth. God bless.

Two other examples:

1. If you stand on a bridge over a straight length of multi-lane road the lanes appear to converge at a point in the distance even though we know they are all parallel with each other.

2. Meteors that are part of a shower all appear to come from a particular point in the sky. We call it the radiant. However we know that the particles that lead to the meteors are actually all travelling along parallel paths. It is just a perspective effect.

Can you point out where we claim this in our society's materials?

Personally, no idea. I am just confirming the OPs  video with a couple more real world examples.

Well this guys 200 proofs get used here a lot. Here's the exact moment he mentions it;

For further rebuttal of his 200 proofs which I'm sure Bishthebosh will find an interesting read;
