Since the front page of the site appears to be a wordpress-like organism, is there interest from the community in starting a Flat Earth blog? I'd write for it, but would others? It would help to keep a steady stream of fresh content on the site that is actually FET related.

What new content would we have? Its not like the facts are going to change.

One would assume that the FES is not going to take this stance and that some of the unresolved questions like "what is the layout of the continents?", "Is it an ice-ring or is there an antarctica?", "Is there any gravitation at all?", "What is the geneology of a flat earth?", "Who specifically is perpetrating the conspiracy and can we unearth it?" can be tackled. I think it is a good idea.

I'm not talking about re-hashing Wiki content, Dave. Blogs are personal. Topics could range from "How I found FET" to comparing and contrasting infinite plane vs monopole, in your own opinion. It'd also be a good place to showcase some member-run experiments, small scale type stuff. I live in the mountains which makes Bedford style experiments impossible, but I'm sure I could derive an experiment or two to conduct, particularly in the summer when I'm not buried with school work.
Also: what Rama Set said.

Great idea. I would write in it.

I suggested a tumblr a while ago. Honestly, I think that's the best way to go if we're to have a blog. More community involvement and whatnot.

The homepage is made using blogging software called BlazeBlogger, which generates static HTML pages and so is very responsive to reads (which I think is ideal for an infrequently updated blog like ours would likely be). Anyone is welcome to submit posts to publish (currently the only way of doing so is to send them to me), although so far nobody has done so.
If there's enough interest, I'm happy to work on an interface for people to publish blog posts to the homepage themselves, but given the current lack of content it seems like it would be a waste of time.

I will type up an article today and send it to you.
I do have a suggestion, though. I think there should not be a date stamp. That way, if we go 6 months or whatever between blogs, it does not make us look inactive.
