Let me in your head, why?

I am assuming most of you, at one point, did not believe Earth was flat, so my question is, what really triggered the flip ultimately. Discounting the globe model or even the heliocentric model, of course, is not positive evidence for a flat round Earth. Is there some positive evidence for your belief? Also, Nasa and government lies/coverups are also not positive evidence, in fact their lies could lead to a whole host of other possibilities. I don't think conspiracies and secrets are unlikely, but the sheer number of people that would have to be complicit has to be quite a lot I would think.

A few anecdotes -

I heard Dr. Bruce Damer recount a story that someone from within the NRO took control of one of their satellites so they could watch hurricane Katrina live from the satellite and he was quite upset the government wasn't using those resources to help rescue people.

Another I came across on youtube, a guy went to Russia to get a ride in either a mig29 or su27, and he and the pilot were chit chatting and the Russian pilot said basically they would be going high enough for him to see the curve of Earth.

I guess my question is, one would have to assume even casual instances like this are manipulated or those people are simply not allowed to even speak of it. Did the passenger have to get some security clearance and sign a NDA? Just seems like a lot to believe for me.

I would ask that people who don't believe in a flat Earth not respond please, there are plenty of other threads to debate the details.
