To those that haven't seen my thread on .org before it disappeared: I ordered a Chinese off-brand phone whose specs seem ridiculously good for the price. Bit of an experiment on my part, might work out extremely well, or it might be the worst decision of my life.
Anyway, it's been shipped. They even provided a picture of my package. Professionalism, and all that.

In b4 rant about horrible Chinese-to-English translation in product manual.

I didn't get a picture :(

You sure? It should be there when you go to order details.

So you'll get it in about 30 days then.

Those girls we met in Singapore back in '98 was the worst decision of your life, don't try to block it out.

We don't talk about that. As far as I'm concerned, '98 never happened.

You guys were young enough to be prostitutes in Thailand then!

Nothing is too old in Thailand.

OMG IT'S HERE!
They declared it as "replacement parts" valued at $15, so I didn't have to pay tax. <3 China.
I'm about to leave for work, but I shall be posting my first impressions soon.

It'll be broken before you get back. :(

First impressions are pretty good. The build quality is fair - about what I'd expect from an Android phone. The screen looks really amazing.
I took a picture of the phone I've been temporarily using. It's another example of "moar pixels != better pictures", but it does look quite good when scaled down: clicky click (http://i.omgomg.eu/oldphone)

I just remembered this phone is a dual-SIM. I can now use both my regular phone numbers with the same device. I had to carry two phones until now. This is great.

Is one SIM for the Conspiracy to call you?

Pretty much.

So, in case you didn't realize yet, I ordered the same phone as PizzaPlanet, and I got mine today.

The iPhone's pixel density has nothing on this.

Thanks for the secret leaks, Mr. Snowden. Now we know the official opinion on EJ. XD

What's battery life like?
-
Can't really tell yet since I've been charging it on and off all day, but it seems alright. If I charge it every night, I don't see it running out easily. Here's a picture if you can figure out something from it:

I've heard you shouldn't charge a battery unless it's low on charge because it reduces the maximum charge the battery can hold. Makes sense because my phone's battery life sucks and I used to charge it and leave it plugged-in overnight.
-
Wow, it really nose dives when not plugged in. Use your phone less, Blanko.

I've heard the opposite about Li-ion batteries. You're not meant to leave them plugged in, because heat generation can kill them, but charging them early is supposed to prolong battery life.
-
I'd obviously use it much less in regular use. I'm just playing around with it for now because new and shiny.
-
Lithium batteries should be charging while they're undergoing high energy draw, and not charging when there is low draw.

Wow. That's like, literally the same resolution as my Galaxy S4.

Correct. We got basically the same phone for a fraction of the price. Chinese technology is the best.
What's battery life like?
I'd call it standard. Literally every smartphone I've had has had about the same battery life, and this one is no different.

yeeeeee customization

EDIT: whoops did I already change it
-
I definitely miss customizing (sort of). It is better for my sanity having an iPhone. Having too many options causes me stress and anxiety. I was at the point to where I was loading the nightly build of a ROM on my phone and constantly changing layouts to fit my obsessive compulsive needs. It was affecting my health :(

Li-ion batteries don't suffer from battery memory like ni-ca.
You should charge your phone when you feel like it. However, avoid using it while charging as this will cause a heat buildup that will damage the battery.
