I just noticed that this forum lacks one in the top-right corner. Can we please add that?
-
honestly, I never used the quick search. I always added username or something. Did you use it much?
-
A complete overhaul of the search function might be in order as well, for example, making the default only search ~100 days of posts. The old forum locks up every time a noob searches posts because they'll search the entirety of the database.

I used it if I needed to see if a topic had been discussed before. If I was searching based on who posted or needed to find a specific thread I used the refined search.

It's there for me, albeit not completely.

I know the button is there, but .org has a bar at the top-right corner of its page for a quick search. It saves a little mouse clicking.

Weird, I don't see that. Nothing at all for me.

I also see nothing at all.

The bar moves to accommodate your avatar, I can now see the bar fully without an avatar.

Ok, admin issue.
-
I'm sure they'll fix that within the next 24 hours.
-
This is weird, given we're using the same style as .org did. I have to leave for work shortly, but I'll take a look when I get home.
-
mine is 2pxl wide, super secret search bar.
-
I think .org has the same problem. I only see half a Search box in both.
-
I've had a brief look over the theme, but this CSS is frustratingly difficult to grok, and user-interfacey stuff isn't really my area of expertise. I'll hopefully have more time to look at it later in the week and work out what's wrong; for now, you can use the normal search function.

One easy way to solve this problem would be to move the quick search bar to the "toolbar" div. There appears to be just enough space reserved there, and it would be vaguely in the right position.
-
I think I fixed this. Leaving the thread open for people to confirm or deny.

Fixed for me. Good job pp.
-
Fixed for me as well. Thanks.

This is when a thread should be locked.
