We get active fairly often, but it's usually in bursts. It works quite well if you just have an IRC client running in the background and doing other shit.

Hmm, well feel free to try again! I'm generally active for many hours a day as I do leave it running the majority of the time, so if you join (particularly if you tag me) I'll almost undoubtedly respond.

There are people active most of the time. I've noticed that you leave in just a few minutes without saying anything, so people don't even get to notice that you're there. Remember, saying people's names is a good way to alert people to your presence.
