I for one think she should be reinstated to her position and all charges should be dropped.

Although I appreciate that she was selfishly trying to help people, she has to face the consequences of her actions. You can’t arbitrarily apply a law because you approve of the cause. That being said, a judge can surely ensure her sentence is negligible which is probably the best course of action. This is all assuming the alleged crime was committed in the manner reported.

I guess dropping the charges would be wrong.
Find her guilty, sentence her to a dinner for two at a nice restaurant, and call the next case.
