If it is only for storage, why does it need two processors?

It doesn't.

Make sure you put Lunix on it.

A Linux or BSD distro would be fine for this server's use case. It is just going to host some CIFS shares that Windows servers need to access. It doesn't have to run any of the proprietary Windows apps that most of my other servers do.

Technology & Information / Server Build

On occasion, I have to build custom storage servers for my data center. They are usually for archive data that doesn't get accessed that often, but retention requirements make it so the data must be around for 10 years.

I am currently building the largest capacity single storage server I have built built to this point. Sourcing everything from Newegg Business, as usual. It will have two RAID 6 arrays of 8 drives with 8TB each. That translates to just over 87TB of useable space, leaving room for one more array (~43.7TB) should I need to expand in the future. Other specs are two Xeon E5's, 32GB RAM, 4U chassis with dual 1400W PSUs and 10Gb NICs. Just over $17K for the initial build. Should be fun times.

You need better mates. People who don't take care of their phones can't be good friends.

My Blu Win HD Windows Phone arrived today. I ended up ordering from Microsoft since it is $149 there, unlocked. I will fire it up here in a bit so I can test it out.

My level of computer knowledge is probably on Saddam's plebeian level. Windows 8 is awful and completely un-user friendly.

Thankfully, Windows 8 and 8.1 are different.

You're a mental midget fool.

A few days late on this, but this is a repeat of the same thing after your first warning. This is your second warning.

That way when you snap the motherboard in half putting in the processor, it can be enjoyed by thousands of people on the internet.

Yes, because ZIF sockets tend to end up in broken motherboards  ::)

...hopefully this Windows thing that Junker is helping me out with will work out.

It will probably be the easiest part of this build.

After dropping my phone almost daily because I am dumb and have not gotten a case, I finally cracked the screen. It took a drop from about 5ft up on to pavement. I have always found the iPhone to be extremely durable.

They are very durable, and the build quality is fantastic.

In other news, I am going to test out one of their Windows Phone models. Specifically, this guy:

Wait.  What happened to your iPhone 6 Plus?  Are you just being a baller?

I still have my 6 Plus, which is my daily driver. Part of my job is to stay up to date on tech. Since I don't use Android phones anymore, I order units to test with which work pays for and I keep. So yes, I am just being a baller.

He probably sat on it and it bent.

Oh totally, I watched those videos where a guy applies 642 billion pascals of pressure and the phone slightly bends. Unheard of in any phone ever created before.

It is just as pristine as the day I bought it.

Bloody hell that's cheap.

It is. I am curious to see the build quality and responsiveness, but my expectations are not very high.

So my BLU Studio 5.0 HD LTE arrived. I must say, I am impressed by its initial performance. The screen is decent, comparable to 720P smartphone screens I have seen. The phone is plastic, but the build quality is just as good as other Android phones like the Nexus 5. The various bands work as advertised. I am on T-Mo, popped in my SIM and was pulling 45Mb on LTE. Performance is good, at least switching between apps and such. Haven't tried any games. Tested out Netflix, looked really good. Call quality is just as good as any other Android phone I have used. I haven't tested the camera yet, and can't comment on battery life since I haven't used it much.

My verdict is that it is worth every penny of its $170 price tag, considering that is for an unlocked, unsubsidized phone (still a thing here in the US). It comes with a charger, silicon case, screen protector, and headphones. A very good deal indeed. I am going to order one of their Windows Phone models today to test that out. They don't have a Windows model that supports LTE, but that is okay since it is just a test unit.

I've solved his Windows problem.
What did you suggest? Did you get him a code?

He has a copy of Win 8.1 Enterprise

Actually, after reading through the thread again and looking up some articles, it seems that Rushy is right in fact. My apologies.

Vauxy, you are wrong it seems.

No.

You didn't even read the OP or the argument, did you? No one spoke a single word about using a singer's lyrics as evidence that he committed a different crime. This is about whether or not this singer's lyrics are defined as hate speech with intent to incite violence.

No.

No matter how wrong Rushy is, please add some content to a new posts in this mostly serious forum.

I'm not sure how else I can explain this to you. Hate speech that incites violence is literally a federal crime, no matter how many times you say "lol no it isn't ur dum" that isn't going to change anytime soon.
Except that is protected speech, set by precedent of court rulings. But that is okay, keep chiming on showing how you don't understand it at all.

Again, false equivalency.

Inciting violence is falsely equivalent to inciting violence. Okay.
Okay, Rushy. I will let you take time to figure out why the examples aren't equal.

It definitely is protected. That is the only reason there is a genre of white power music, which is significantly worse than the case in particular, or even your example. I also liked how you picked the Jews... Very telling.

This is the part where you steer the debate off course and backpedal.

And this is the part where you start deflecting because you know you are wrong. I literally reiterated my stance in the very sentence you quoted and said I "backpedaled" on. "It is definitely protected." I am starting to think you are having some comprehension problems. Or you are playing a game and not paying attention.

I just got done saying lack of prosecution does not mean it is not a crime.

Right, lack of being a crime means it is not a crime.
