Philosophy, Religion & Society / Re: Distant spherical dome proposal
« on: July 23, 2018, 11:05:15 PM »
It is ok to move it here.

The whole FE is a religious thing after all. In most of the FE videos out there, they are talking about the Bible, and the Dome created by God. At least for me as a newcomer, FE looked as a religion. I don't know about others. "God vs aliens" etc.

 :)

I don't understand what is considered "serious" in a forum where people argue over "will a boat fall into the void at the edge of the earth?". Depending from the point of view, this is not serious either.

Or maybe the name of this website is misleading. Here can be found way more RE than FE people. Although it is good to be cruelty attacked when you have a theory, and have to defend it, it is a little bit upsetting. It makes me feel like this is a forum powered by NASA.

I've put "flat earth forum" in google and it took me here. So I've though this is a place to post my FE "baloney". I feel double-crossed....

Please, all of you, have a nice day!

Just because they told you they went into space isn't evidence that they did it.

Correct!

We have billions of public funds spent in something. It is the most normal to suspect that something. If you look at the construction companies, they fight in any way possible to get the funds...... Because only 20% of that money will go for bricks, concrete, telescopes, rocket fuel, copper for the Hadron collider..... Lying about space and subatomic world, things that can not be seen by the public, is the simplest way to steal billions.

Not to mention demonic/alien invasion conspiracy.....

What part of the universe we can not see, because of direct occlusion? It seems with the augmenting they can see through a whole galaxy.
It is a star, augment, oh, it is a bunch of stars. augment, oh those are galaxies, augment, I can see the stars of the galaxies, augment, I can see in between the stars of each galaxy another galaxies, let augment.... ("augmenting" should be "peeking further")

Does the atomic structure of a mirror allow for perfection(let ignore the fabrication process imperfections)? The oval surface can not exactly follow the crystal structure of the lenses.

(BTW they say no telescope is potent enough to see the footprints of the astronauts on Moon....)

Flat Earth Investigations / Dome or CGI?

Regarding science:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Einstein_ring

What is curious to me, is why there isn't observed such phenomena around any celestial object. Of course, the degree at which the light bends will be minimal, but this small angle scaled to the cosmic distances should become easily visible.

Finally, I would expect deep space to be seen something like this(not the same principle, but the result should be similar):

But a lot crazier.

It is curious how they pretend that they are able to measure the oscillation of stars provoked by the mass of orbiting planets, but from the whole outer space, they have seen Einstein rings only few hundreds of times.
It seems like stars were put like models in a fashion show - everyone trying to be seen. Very few overlapping.

The way satellite images are scaled up and still there are nice shapes observed, gives me the impression telescopes look at a flat surface(a dome) or it is all CGI.

Front stars and planets should be seen well, I have not doubt regard this. But when they start to augment and augment finding whole universes in between the tiny spaces between the nearer stars, then again, and again, and always neat stars, it makes me doubt.

What if the Earth is Flat or Round and it is localized in the center of our small universe.
Earth is not moving, neither rotating.
The Sun is far as they say. All the planets of our system are moving around the Earth.
Earth is the center and is not moving.
Past the last planet of our Solar System, there is a spherical dome. With the rest of the world projected on it. And it is moving too(or the projection is animated).

This is made that way in order to offer divine guidance for humans. For humans to build their horoscopes etc.

No, it isn't what I wanted to point out. (the black star is my helper to draw the perspective. It was white, but I made it black in order for people to not mistake it for the Sun, and I let it there for people to notice the perspective)

The first two images are not helping me, but the video is very helpful.

It shows the getting far from the observer God rays. Exactly that I searched for.
Thank you for the video. It solves my doubt. I guess I can't recall seeing such rays, because the popular rays are the most photographed ones(watching in direction of/toward the Sun). The reason I can recall such rays is because I was shown 99% of my life only the most popular version. Maybe even I myself always watched toward the sun searching for God rays.

By the way, if those rays in the video are both(the back side and front side) coming from the Sun(not one from the Moon and other from the Sun), this proves the Sun is far far away.

This video is very nice. It seems to me that the Sun is pretty far. Not like in the FE theory.

I had no time to polish the sketch.

That's how I expect rays to be seen if the Sun is backside and far away. I can not see any images like that on internet. I googled it, but I can find only the most popular God rays. I can't recall having seen such rays myself either.

Can you google it too and show me some picture like the one I sketched? I tried various keywords in google.

I have near to me a high place over a flat terrain. I will have to go to that place some day when the weather is appropriate(I don't wanna climb for nothing).

When the parallel rays are coming from a sun that is behind the observer:

Well, people already got enough experiences seeing through the plane window.

This is super sad! My future kids asking me: "Daddy, did the earth look nice from the windows of the planes of your era?"
I would feel cursed to be born in the post-windows era.
I searched a bit about windows and in quora, a man explained how he built a house for himself with no windows, only cameras and flat monitors. So he had to use special bulbs in order his plants to not die without sun light...... And what about the owner of the house?!?! He could get sick without natural light. I could think of diseases like tuberculosis and fungus without natural light.
It makes me think too, about Blade Runner where a piece of real wood was something to see. Nothing was natural in that future.
It is sad. Like those people who run on running machines without going outside, those people who farm inside simulators on their computers.

I vote for keeping the windows.

11
And personally I would not pay for this more than 50 bugs.
Hi! We welcome users from far east Asia.

They have basically invented a high tech digital window that costs a lot more than an actual window. Its incredibly stupid.

Haha, I see it now, it is "bucks". At least you know I am not a bot ....

12
They could put wide angle lens with the excuse of seeing more of the Earth, but they definitively should give a turn around the Earth to prove it is round.

Anyway, the sole idea of having monitors is rendering the whole space travel idea doubtful. If they have real windows, it would be nearly impossible to fake the views of the Earth. But with monitors it is extremely easy to fake Round or Square Earth. And personally I would not pay for this more than 50 bugs. Because they could never take off. They could have me in some centrifuge all the time and show me baloney on the monitors. Even travel to Mars. Why not?! With monitors anything is possible.

Furthermore, the sole act of putting monitors instead windows will prove for me at 90% the FE theory. Because if plastic Tesla car suffered no damage at all in the deep space, they have NO EXCUSE to not put real glass windows on the space travel ships. No excuse other than hiding the real shape of the Earth.

13
The same (round earth?..) experience to all of the passengers....

https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6lfb34

I think people wouldn't pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for the promised space excursions if they have monitors instead genuine windows.

Flat Earth Investigations / Re: Empirical Validation of Perspective
« on: July 08, 2018, 02:38:47 PM »
I can share my artistic point of view and experience. Only lines parallel to the eyesight line are guaranteed to be seen as straight. Everything else is usually bended. It is rare to observe perfectly straight lines in real world.
For artists, notion of perspective is obtained through long practice. And at the end, it is something like a feeling about where lines should go.
In my drawings I use perspective like eyefish/360 degrees vision, but a very slighter version of it.

To determine if the horizon is a straight line, one should look to a point that is part of the horizon(the farthest distinguishable detail one can see that is supposed to "sit" down on earth surface). Looking down or up from the horizon will bend it.

(By the way, when we are looking to earth from space, a round plane earth should give us a curved horizon too. So in my own opinion, if earth is planar it has to be pretty large, so the detail-vanishing point to make the horizon appear straight. It "solves" the gravity problem too.)

15
The gyroscope idea is worthwhile, but so far, you have proven nothing. If you can prove that the Earth is not spinning, that would rock the world. But try it, and I guarantee you'll learn something.

I can not "rock the world". I lack the marketing to "rock the world".

I will let people with followers in youtube, and people who are part of FE clubs do the tests. Somebody with bigger media impact.
If anybody is interested in further working on the gyroscope tests, of course.

I'm leaving for now. :)

16
But I am not leaving the system at any moment. Zeroing the experiment with the turntable is still being affected by the rotation of the globe Earth. And I can not tell for sure in which direction is everything rotating. Because Earth is spinning around itself, around the sun, around the galaxy, around the origin of the universe.... maybe....   It is like trying to nullify a gyroscope while riding on a roller coaster.

I think the sole fact of being able to make the gyroscope stay still is a proof the Earth is not rotating.

(BTW, I don't think a plane Earth is neutralizing the concept of gravity. Even if being a plane, the Earth is still a huge solid body and generates gravity force because of its mass. I don't think we need to almost invent things like "density" in order to defend FE theory. Gravity still works on a plane Earth)

BTW2 - A gyroscope only deals with rotation. Not a lineal movement. And now that I think of it, it doesn't necessarily prove flat Earth either. It just proves Earth is not rotating. Maybe earth is a still globe and the universe is rotating around the earth. A pretty expensive idea. It's cheaper for the Creator of the universe to project the celestial bodies onto a dome.

17
I wasn't talking about 20K gyroscopes. Any gyroscope with few axes should detect the Earth rotating.

There are smaller versions of the gyroscope in the last video for ~60$ in internet. They are not spinning for long although. 5mins at most. I could think of attaching some motor to them.

If lasers detect movements, this should detect movements too. Lasers are just supposedly much more precise. We don't need precision, because for 24h, the cheap setup should move visibly enough toward some direction, if the Earth is spinning.

I have seen people spending a loooooot more to test the FE theory. I don't see how suddenly money is a problem for a cheap setup.

18
You mean like this? https://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2011-12/tum-fed122211.php

Similar things going on here: http://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1088/1742-6596/723/1/012061 Although this looks more like a preliminary paper than one discussing something that was actually done. But I also glossed over a fair bit of it.

Thank you for the black holes....

I try to propose a way, any person can make a test at home. Or at least at the university. You are pointing me to something based on faith. Because "lasers in a ring" is nothing practical for any normal person. It is about faith. I should believe scientists black holes exist. I can not prove them myself, only faith is left for me.

In my personal opinion, this is what frustrates most of people. They are given sci-fi kind of speeches, talking about infinite dimensions, and we are all almost forced to believe in infinite dimensions, but people see flat water surfaces on earth and this is "wrong", regard scientists...

"Disbelieve the simple, believe in string theory!"
"Disbelieve your own eyes, believe in my unreadable formulas!"
"Disbelieve logic! We don't have the technology to get to the moon in a nanosecond anymore."

In the beginning of this video, we can see a stable tilted gyroscope that is not straightening with time. I guess, because the uploader of the first video is interested in proving as long spin as he can, he took various shoots until he managed to almost perfectly balance the gyroscope.

I have to agree, playing as a child with tops, they have to some extent self correcting/straightening capabilities. This could be due to the shape of the base which displaces with the inclination.

Quote
If we simply tilted the plate, the top would stay upright, but we didn't do that...

Exactly this is what should happen with the tilting of the earth.

If somebody can afford a more expensive gyroscope like this:

Such gyroscope could prove the pendulum movement too.

Because as you see in the video, if the Earth is a rotating plane, this gyroscope should detect it.
This multiple axes gyroscope, just can not "stay still" on an Earth that rotates in any way. I invite anybody who has access to a precise few axes gyroscope to make it run as long as possible and see if it detects some Earth rotation.

This is the video we will discus about:

The photos explaining the experiment can be seen here:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1WU5fCbuoc6n9YHVHFu9zhey8Ch0chBcv

Images are showing how the inclination after 17 minutes haven't changed at ALL(I showed with blue lines the lenses distortion for the ones who think the gyroscope starts spinning inclined since the beginning. Anyway, the change in inclination matters and there is no change in the inclination)(the gyroscope should have not problem to stay inclined because it is a gyroscope. But it is not inclining...).

This, plus this pendulum:

...is proving to me that the earth is planar and it rotates in a way like shown in this GIF:

https://giphy.com/gifs/earth-Lj74pzXm6TQ08/fullscreen

This experiment should give the most clear results at the equator. And this experiment does not require people to travel. Because it is about degrees, sayings like "Earth is too big to notice it" are not valid.

Please, if you think I am wrong, feel free to disprove my proposal. I want proofs and want to find the truth.
