If the earth is flat than explain day and night

If the earth were flat than how come one part of the world is in day time and the other is in night time?

I would suggest you start with the wiki and FAQ. The links are in my signature.

I would also suggest that if you are going to post in the debate forum that you take at least a few minutes to research the topics. Rudimentary questions like this have been asked repeatedly, and people here tend to get tired of answering them. If you put in some effort, you will usually get a much better response.

The wiki would suggest that the sun is not a BIG ASS STAR. Yet a small little ball of light. The sun on a spherical earth illuminates one whole side not a spotlight. Also the earth being flat would provide no shadow or "night time" for the dish. In the fact you argue the see-saw of the earth during the year that doesn't account for one day and one night.
