Former KKK runs for senate

Holy fuck.  America is crashing harder than a 747 with no engines.  I can see Martin Luther King Jr. spinning in his grave at the thought that every gain we've had in racial rights could be wiped away if this guy has a chance.

BUT... something tells me Donald Trump may help him.  Or at least pose for a few pictures.

Apparently he was in the house for a year in 1989.  So that makes this have less of an impact for me.

If you are going to DebOOonK an expert then you have to at least provide a source with credentials of equal or greater relevance. Even then, it merely shows that some experts disagree with each other.

It's a democracy. Assholes can run, a fact made obvious by both nominees for the presidency. Hopefully the people will make a good decision in this electoral race.

Yeah but usually you don't run unless you think you can win.

There's no chance of him winning.

Is anything he's said or done actually racist? I'm not at all familiar with the guy.

Supposedly he's against violence, and he's said to not be anti-black, but rather pro-white. He also left the KKK because he couldn't stop his followers from punching black people. Seems like a decent fellow.

I'm looking for actions, not membership cards. If he hasn't done anything wrong, I don't particularly care what organisations he belongs to.

Isn't joining the KKK an action?

"I know he was with the KKK but has he ever actually done anything racist?"

This level of trolling is beneath you, SexWarrior.  I suggest you abandon ship and focus your endeavors elsewhere.

Two days ago I registered as a supporter of the Labour Party here in the UK. Does that, by default, make me a left-winger, or does it simply mean that I paid a fee to an organisation? Does paying said fee somehow overwrite my predominantly centre-right mindset?

"I know he was with the KKK but has he ever actually done anything racist?"
I mean, if it's so trivial, why don't you just give me a couple of examples so we can move on?

He didn't just join the KKK, he became a Grand Wizard. There is a big difference between joking the KKK for the lawn bowling team and taking on the responsibilty of guiding its actions.

Here is a nice quote form Mr. Duke:

Quote
White people don't need a law against rape, but if you fill this room up with your normal black bucks, you would, because niggers are basically primitive animals.

-The Sun newspaper of Wichita, Kansas (23 April 1975)

He also is on record as a holocaust denier and also string that the only constituents he is concerned about are the white ones.

Another goodie:

Quote
Of course you know the miracle of AIDS, we all do. It's the only disease that turns fruits into vegetables.

More funny than anything, but it's not difficult to suspect Mr. Duke of being anti-homosexual. One of his complaints about Jews is that they promote homosexualism.

I remember back in the day there was an episode of Morton Downey Jr's show where he had David Duke and Al Sharpton on as guests at the same time.  If I remember correctly that was one of the episodes where they broke out into an actual fight.  lol fun times.

Anyone remember Morton Downey Jr?  Hoppy?  Markjo?  Other old people from America if they exist here?
