This is what it's like for the rest of us whenever we argue with you.

Except the only long winded arguments I get into here are opinionated nonsense and have no factual answer.

Morrowind is generic fantasy and someday you'll just have to accept that.

Why have we (or more specifically, you) not received an updated and properly translated book from the the storm cloud god (Thor?) you speak of? It seems like the guidance would change a bit noting advances in technology make things like how "dangerous" pig meat is irrelevant.

Quote
At the Earth's surface, a suggested microwave beam would have a maximum intensity at its center, of 23 mW/cm2 (less than 1/4 the solar irradiation constant), and an intensity of less than 1 mW/cm2 outside the rectenna fenceline (the receiver's perimeter).[73] These compare with current United States Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) workplace exposure limits for microwaves, which are 10 mW/cm2,[74] - the limit itself being expressed in voluntary terms and ruled unenforceable for Federal OSHA enforcement purposes.[citation needed] A beam of this intensity is therefore at its center, of a similar magnitude to current safe workplace levels, even for long term or indefinite exposure. Outside the receiver, it is far less than the OSHA long-term levels[75] Over 95% of the beam energy will fall on the rectenna. The remaining microwave energy will be absorbed and dispersed well within standards currently imposed upon microwave emissions around the world.

And think that nuclear power conspiracies are bad. I can't imagine what they'd say when the gubmint starts launching microwave satellites.

Wow, it was pretty entertaining watching Thork dodge my response for a whole page. What whacky nonsense will he come up with next? Also, all four points are of the utmost correctness, which is why you bothered to argue with all zero of them. "These are so wrong I just can't tell you how wrong they are! Haha!" Gee. How believable.

Even those with the same wattage vary with age. Trust me, I have run into this problem with the microwave I use now, compared to the one I used before I was married.

It really sounds like your idea of a microwave is a $20 easy bake oven from wally world.

Actually, microwaves are even harder to determine whether bacon is thoroughly cooked, because the cooking time with them varies so much from device to device.

What? No, it doesn't. A microwave is a microwave. Unless you're using microwaves with different wattage ratings and expecting them to cook food at the same rate. You wouldn't be doing that, would you?

Oh lord, Thork tried to do math.

1. You can't use the law of averages on non-normal data. Viral pandemics are the very pinnacle of non-normal data sets. It's also more often than not complete garbage to apply law of averages. In statistics you want to avoid it.

2. You can't use a population growth variance with abnormal parameters. (e.g. Humans are not a natural host to Ebola. Ebola evolved with other animals and became zoonotic). You can't claim that Ebola can't "kill itself off" inside humans because even if every human on Earth is dead it would still go on in other creatures. It has no evolutionary advantage to keeping us alive, unlike, say, the common cold.

3. A virus is not an organism and population growth variance doesn't apply anyway.

4. ur retarted

In other news, Sweden recently recognized Palestine as a state and the UK is voting on the issue soon, with very high chances that the motion will pass.

Edit: Looks like I'm a bit late, actually. They've already voted and recognized Palestine as a state. Nevermind, it was a symbolic vote, whatever the hell that is.

Additionally I just learned that 80% of the world recognizes Palestine as a state.

Even with my new card I get a whopping 18 FPS @4K high settings in Star Citizen. I think I can chalk it up to poor graphics optimization, rather than just graphics that are "too good."

E:D looks beautiful at 4K and runs at 60 FPS on high settings. My only problem is that Crossfire seems to cause some sort of terrible texture issue on planets and stars. They'll sometimes glitch out and look like they're made of whatever the normal texture is plus black striping.

Stop changing your god-damned mind just to disagree with me. >:(

Do you even remember your own argument? Your argument was that billions of dollars on Ebola is a waste because it doesn't do anything. I don't think Ebola will be a problem because of the money, not in spite of it.

Nothing will come of Ebola because WHO and other organizations help contain it. No one wins by sitting back and saying "we would be better off giving the midwest rubber boots."

Saddam, it's one thing to watch a kid show, it's another to complain about the depth of the story's characters.

It didn't magically appear in 1976 either. Before 'millions of dollars' could be thrown at it, Africans didn't all die because everyone and every animal in Africa had Ebola. I don't know why American's think throwing millions of dollars at things has amazing results. See Iraq War.

Ebola hasn't spread very far because during every instance of outbreak, millions of dollars were thrown into containing it. It didn't just magically disappear on its own. You're suffering from "wet roads cause rain" logic.

Ok, its just you don't need to keep hosts alive for long to be a humanity killer. The black death killed in under 40 days. Sometimes in under 24 hours. Like ebola its tactic is to fell its victim and then infect scavengers as the juices and liquids seep from the rotting victim. same game, different tactics. I think I just lost the thread of your argument.

Behold Thork, having encountered someone who, for some reason, agrees with him, he quickly manages to find some tiny disagreement to keep himself afloat in a world of hatred.

The BBC today is comparing Ebola to the Spanish influenza outbreak after WW1. Ebola has killed less than 4000 people. Spanish Influenza killed over 50 million. The whole thing is absolutely ridiculous. There is definitely some kind of 'city' conspiracy to get government money into the stock exchanges via pharmaceutical share prices and the like. I smell Goldman Sachs, the UN and other rich Jews.

This is called a "comfort conspiracy." You find the idea that "the Jews are doing this" more comforting than accepting the fact that people are panicky or the fact that this can be much worse than it currently is. Most NWO conspiracy believers like the idea that someone is in control, they just wish that person was doing something different. (e.g. "someone could easily make civilization better, they just don't want to" is more comforting to believe than "civilization is a chaotic mess and it always will be")

Even worse, it would be a completely silent terrorist attack. It takes on average 12 days for Ebola to show symptoms after you've contracted it. Imagine a compromised ventilation system infecting thousands of people, and you only find out it was a terrorist attack over a week later? Shit, you could infect half of New York City by the time anyone notices.

Here is another thing to worry about: what if a middle-budgeted bioterrorist managed to get his hands on Ebola? Imagine waiting for this outbreak to die out (literally) and then just going bat hunting in west Africa? The virus replicates in bats naturally. Obtain a bunch of ebola-infected bats and then harvest the virus over time (proper medical storage methods can keep a virus intact for decades). Release it as an aerosol into highly populous city areas (e.g. subways) during flu season. "Uh oh, you have the flu? Go home, you'll be fine." dead a week later.

Just a few bucks in home lab equipment and a patient bioterrorist could kill thousands more people than the guy who knocked down the WTC ever dreamed of. Hell, I'm probably on some list just for saying this now.
