What is the definition of THE Ice Wall? According to Bishop any iceberg is THE ice wall.

Because they fear to see the truth. This will ruin all their beliefs. At the end, FET is a religion. There is nothing scientific about it.

Librium, what is your education? What "facts" exactly turned you into a flat earther? Can you be more specific?

Flat Earth Theory must adjust for the commercial space program being real.

Its real in the sense that NASA are sending things up and those things are circling the earth.

But just like 911, I do not believe the NASA narrative, too many faked vids and pictures.
It just reeks of conspiracy, even to non flat earthers, at least we have an answer for it.
Please provide any fake image from NASA. Link to the image hosted on NASA website. Please no Youtube videos and shitty pictures from flattards.

Oh yeah, and you living on a flat earth with two poles and switching sun jumping up and down are not living on a fantasy land  ;D ;D ;D

I'll grab more popcorn. This forum is so funny and addicting.

Bishop, you aren't serious about that, right? Ever heard of a spherical sky map? The straight lines just don't work.

Woof, you guys need to study a bit of math really. You draw conclusions like a 1-grade boy. Do you have B.Sc degree in anything technical?

Fictitious premise. The sky is not a sphere which things rest against.
I don't believe you don't understand it.

The sky IS A SPHERE. You have to apply a projection onto a sphere (inner face) when you want to do any sky geometry. It's quite funny you guys believe in a dome, but when it really comes to a dome-shaped sky map you unable to understand it. I see there are a plenty of images people here gave you to illustrate it.

Have you ever saw a sky map? I work with sky maps a lot as I'm an astronomer. Here is how it looks like:

What I gather, then, is that it's different from science in that it postulates no hypotheses, merely makes observations and then seeks to explain those observations. So the great Rowbotham observed that the surfaces of bodies of water are flat, and concluded that therefore the Earth must be flat.
Hi there!
great Rowbotham also failed to see his own brain and therefore concluded he doesn't have it. A pure zetetic approach.

Great idea!

But please post pictures published on NASA website.

So I should take it on your authority that this is actually a space station?
You can go to one of the monthly star parties (always at new moon). Astronomers are really friendly. They will show you ISS and maybe even HST. Then when you this in the eyepiece:

How can you explain it??? What is it?

Flat Earth Theory / Re: Density and the replacement of gravity.
« on: July 13, 2017, 08:52:15 PM »
OK OK. Somebody here mentioned accelerated flat earth upwards as a cause for "gravity" effect.
Then why this acceleration is not uniform on Earth surface? The earth would disintegrate many years back
Why is acceleration becoming smaller as you go higher?
What causes Sun to accelerate and not fall on the Earth?
Same for Moon.

I would add some more but let's start with these. As I know that there is no explanation that open minded can give.

Sure it must not be a globe otherwise why TFES exists?
And it's not a globe, but a geoid.  We all know it's a bit off of ellipsoid so that's fine. It's not a globe, Bishop you are correct.

Any flat map won't work. Any. This is because Earth is geoid. All flat map are approximations. Some approximate better areas near poles some do so in continents. But it is impossible to make a 2D map precisely for all areas. You need a globe for this.

Bishop, if you believe that Earth is not a globe without any sane evidence, it's a paranoia, a religion. It has nothing common with rationalism or science. It's something else...

I understand this and absolutely agree. Let's see what crap will flat earthers bring into this thread if they even dare to do so. What will they call ISS image? A hologram, a Pokemon?

Here's my theory on satellites:
I think that they are above us, BUT they orbit around the top of FE like the sun and moon.
I'd like to hear your thoughts on it and feel free to say your opinion on satellites
The most important point you miss is the conspiracy! If those are satellites and they are above and they take pictures of the earth then what all NASA pictures are real? You are not a genuine flat earther!

This is where I stopped reading.

Are you serious about saying that this nonsense fits reality? A few years back there was a remarkable event of Venus transition over Sun. Give any VIABLE explanation in terms of Flat Earth.

I'm not flattard, but this explanation was given by Tom Bishop:

Come on, our explanations for those things are easily found in the literature and Wiki.
Quote
- Moon in the southern hemisphere is upside-down. How can it be on a flat earth?

This is explained in the Wiki. In FET this is explained by the different observers standing on either side of the moon. On one side it is right-side up, and on the other side it is upside down.

Imagine a green arrow suspended horizontally above your head pointing to the North. Standing 50 feet to the South of the arrow it is pointing "downwards" towards the Northern horizon. Standing 50 feet to the North of the arrow, looking back at it, it points "upwards" above your head to the North. The arrow flip-flops, pointing down or away from the horizon depending on which side you stand.

However, it is obvious that this would require a flat moon. Which in turn introduces many other problems like no one ever saw a moon like this:

Don't try to find explanations in FET. There are none. For further information about FET read my signature.

Well, maybe it is because the Earth is spherical? It explains this quite well, isn't it?

I came across a youtube video which asks some interesting questions about the angles of the sun and moon.

Yea but the point is being able to see Jupiter, is not proof the aether doesn't exist.
OK. My original point was as foolows: Disappearing due to dense air doesn't work. Why? Because everything disappears at the horizon no matter how faint it is. If the atmosphere was responsible for disappearing, the fainter the object was the earlier (read farther away from the horizon) it would disappear. But what we see is that enormously bright Sun disappears exactly at the same place where all faint stars are disappearing.

Well, of course, any sane person would think that this is because of Earth Rotation. But how dense air explains this?
