Evidence of this supposed Ice Wall
« on: June 21, 2017, 09:37:12 PM »
I find it funny that flat earthers are not paying attention to the fact that there are hundreds, if not thousands, of pictures of a globular Earth, but not one photograph of this supposed ice wall.

Wouldn't it be interesting to know, who took that photo and where, and what does that person think of the shape of the earth?

He probably didn't think much about it because the Round Earth Theory also maintains that the Antarctic coast is defined by massive ice walls. The main difference is that in the Flat Earth monopole model the length of the Antarctic coastline is longer than in other models.

What I mean is that flying in the Antarctica (as flying anywhere) requires certain knowledge about the area, such as the locations of possible emergency landing sites. In other words: the person needs to have some kind of a map at least in his head.

Tom, that image looks remarkably similar to any number of google images for 'ice shelf.' Specifically the Ross Ice Shelf. FAR too similar for it to be taken as gospel that this is the mythical 'ice wall.'

There are certainly 'walls of ice' all over the polar regions of the planet, but a small snippet of an an image such as you've shared does very little co inspire confidence that this runs the entire outer rim of the glob...er.....earth.

Indeed, but you get a much better overview of the Ice Wall on the whole by simply googling "Antarctic coast".
Dr. Frank is a physicist. He says it's impossible. So it's impossible.

Couldn't have said that better myself.

Could that be because they're two names for the same thing?

So what about these "massive ice walls" seen in this picture are to prevent anyone from traveling past this point and gathering actual proof of this edge or the supposed dome that keeps us all in?

What is the distance between this border of ice and the actual supposed edge of the planet?

It's unknown if there even is an edge.

It seems that there is no real consistent flat earth theory.  It always seems to change in order to dodge the facts.

Not everyone believes in an edge, I would assume most posters on here do not.
Please refer to the wiki link under universal acceleration.

https://wiki.tfes.org/Universal_Acceleration

I believe there is an edge of some kind as the bible points to it.
Job 10:10 He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.
I can't tell you how far it is, or if Flat Earth maps are accurate,

Its more than interesting how the UN have tied up Antartica with special treaty's.
Why would they bother doing this if Antartica is an ice wilderness with no real strategic value?
Looking into Antartica was what triggered me into researching Flat Earth,

No, this is definitely a traditional part of the theory that really hasn't changed. We try not to assume things that haven't been observed.

That which lies beyond the ice wall has been written about in the past. In his book Exploratory journalist George RR Martin clearly explains that beyond the wall of ice is a terribly dangerous land of storms, mammoths, giants, reanimated corpses, and Wight Walkers. The wall is actually 1000 ft high, and NASA has commissioned a special military force called the Night's Watch to protect us. So there you have it roundies.

Your entire assumption of a flat earth has not been observed.  Only drawings (in which most or all of these drawings have an edge).

You keep going on about the UN and this treaty.  This is just plain false, period.  You can go see Antarctica for yourself if you want.  What strategic value would you think the "edge of the earth" would have?

You act as if the UN and NASA are the only entities on earth that have some kind of ability to gather and/or protect information.  This is just pure ignorance.

No, correct.  All honest and objective observations of the earth indicate the earth is a globe.

There are zero correct observations that indicate the earth is flat.  Only misconceptions, misinterpretations or complete ignorance.  When presented with the supporting information, it is just a hoax.

How do you not see how completely BS your position is?  Or do you really know and just get some kind of thrill out of perpetuating this kind of nonsense?
