Flat Earth Q&A / Re: What is Below FE?
« on: July 22, 2017, 11:53:24 PM »
I'm good with Hades,   8)
And under that possibly water or the great deep,
I am relying more on my Christian Belief and not so much on FET for whats below the earth cannot be tested as of yet.

The Sun would never move so far away that you could not see it

But the sun does exactly that because God has created it that way,
The Bible describes the sun and moon as having fixed circuits which revolve around a stationary earth plane, this description works perfectly well with a flat earth model.

Ps 19:6 Its rising is from one end of the heavens, And its circuit to the other end of them; And there is nothing hidden from its heat.

I think you instinctually realise this Dither, and get depressed.

Thanks Jura,
I do enjoy reading your rants so maybe I'm a little less depressed now.  :)

Actually, in my last post I was trying to point out original sin and its consequences, and yeah, I really want to move away from the Gold Coast and live in a more isolated part of Australia, either far north or costal Western Australia.
I just want to be where less people are and scale back our lives a bit.

My desire is to get back to fishing and the occasional surf (while I'm still young enough to paddle) and also encourage my wife to do her arty stuff (sketching and crafting) and get used to living poor.

Anyway, now I've managed to make the discussion all about "ME" my premise is that original sin and pride is why the world is so stuffed and enlightenment and even Christianity cannot remove the stain (but Christ atones for it)
So to be found in Christ is the safest route, in fact its the only route so seek Him while you can.

Oh yeah, and the world is flat

Anybody out there got a spare 12k.

I can speak two languages, English and bad English.

But I do remember hearing that understanding Gramatical Gender can shortcut the learning process.

If you have a mind for becoming a polyglot, and are cool with endless reps and carrying around flash cards, then there's never been a better time to jump on the language bandwagon, what with all the new and cheap learning methods and apps coming out (like memrise for example)

Before people start fighting me over the subject,

Famous last words before said alt disappears into the Night-Lover261.

So have we establised yet that mankind doesn't need Religion to kill each other.
If so, where do we get our killer instincts from? Did we learn them or inherit them?
Why are we greedy and lustful? Is it for pleasure or is it a survival instinct?

Why do I have to go to a job that I hate, to make money to buy stuff that doesn't bring any fulfilment?
No seriously, I've gotta get out of the Gold Coast, I hate it here, it just sucks  :(

I recently started searching about FE, and i am truly in doubt.

Thats great,

NASA are their own worst enemies, the fact that thousands of the early moon landing tapes conveniently were erased shows that NASA fears scrutiny. If anyone still believes that the moon landings actually happened, then they are living in "911 was done by terrorists" la la land, and thats exactly where NASA and the government want them.

Regardless of the shape of the earth, when Roundies start defending the undefendable without questioning any of the numerous  air bubbles, cgi gaffes, and in 911's case, controlled demolition evidence, then its a sure sign that they are a part of the deception so be careful on here.

Flat Earth Theory must adjust for the commercial space program being real.

Its real in the sense that NASA are sending things up and those things are circling the earth.

But just like 911, I do not believe the NASA narrative, too many faked vids and pictures.
It just reeks of conspiracy, even to non flat earthers, at least we have an answer for it.

It would be impossible to get a photo this good in reality because the orientation of the sun to the outer edges of the sphere would be shaded into darkness.

Then please show us that photo shaded into darkness with the supposed distance,
How about also taking some quick snaps from the many long distance spacecraft they supposedly send out.

Or the sun to magically change where it's circling through the intervention of an intelligent, powerful being.

I need to read this book  :)

It is conceivable that this may have been the way life started, randomly and without intelligence.

I agree, it is conceivable in a Heliocentric model, not in a Geocentric model.

A Geocentric model implies intelligent design, the Heliocentric model is a whole bunch of hypothetical lies made by men whose agenda it is to deny that God exists. Its not science, its subterfuge, and this is why Creation Scientists will never get it right because they are using the same model that the Atheistic Scientists are using.

Where does that leave us?

It leaves me questioning your curiosity.

I'm captivated by the prospect of a flat earth, especially by an infinite plane,

That's how it started for many of us,

Another good argument is that, no matter where the balloon in launched from it always appears to be in the center,

This has made my day, I'm off to work...

I should qualify this statement by asking why doesn't that above principal apply with a flat earth model.
Just stand still and do a 360 degree turn on the spot and tell me its because you are on a round earth that this is possible, are you not now the centre of all you survey?

Any chance I could talk you out of believing in a FE?

See how nice the Roundys are, Boots is actually asking first.

This forum is also well moderated, so discussions stay on topic.

Hi Librium.

Welcome to the forum,

I also believe that the earth is flat.

You will find other like minded FEers on this forum who are true believers.
There are also plenty of REers on here who will try to talk you out of it.

Anyway, good luck.  :)

The catholic church has a history of espousing GRE, where as it never espoused flat earth,

Its true that the Church was aware of the Greek Globe model yet many early Saints and Church Fathers were sceptical of the antipodes idea and some considered it heretical.

Why should the shape of the earth affect the message of the scriptures? ???

That depends on how you view the scriptures,

If you view the scriptures as a cultural record of an obscure religious sect then it doesn't mean a tinker's cuss.

But to a person who views the scriptures as infailable, then it absolutely affects the message as there are warnings in the scriptures regarding holding on to false views against the knowledge of the truth and the scriptures do promote a Flat Earth cosmology as do many ancient cultures. (Ancient cultures also share a deluge mythology)

Jesus is the WAY the TRUTH and the LIFE, He is not just the way and the life.

The message of salvation becomes skewered because the Truth part is missing.
